Having recently come across some inspiration in the form of her adventures around Unova and Sinnoh, she felt the need to write. She had recently spent her time jotting down ideas for plots and characters with her pen and now, with her pen still at hand, she looked over her ideas.
It was nighttime, far too late for any challengers for the Elite Four. This allowed Shauntal time to write. It was practically her only time to write, with her duties as a member of the Elite Four getting in the way a lot of the time. She treasured those times as it allowed her to think calmly and rationally as well as relax.
This time however, she was frowning, her mouth visibly curved as she tried to find something that really stood out. She searched for the idea that just popped out. The thing that would spur her muse and allow to create her next masterpiece. Yet, the more she looked at the piece of paper, the more she struggled to find something good.
Her room was lit by Thaisa’s candlelight, the soft purple embers flickering and shining their light over the ebony bookcase that was in front of her, filled with books, many of them written by her. Her floor was littered with stacks of books and papers as she never really found the urge to clean. She didn’t mind the mess at all.
Catherine was snoozing on the floor next to her, blissfully unaware of the many ghost pokemon floating around her. Shauntal normally took this opportunity to release all her pokemon and let them have their fun. Most of the time, they spent their time floating around the room, occasionally possessing a book or lamp and causing it to move or fling across the room. Nothing was new to her with that retrospect.
She ignored Hermia and Cleopatra levitating books and flinging them around, having given up trying to convince them not to. While most of the mess was caused by her ghost pokemon, occasionally the more responsible pokemon such as Beatrice and Portia would help Shauntal do some basic cleaning. While not enough to make the room completely spotless, they at least made it navigable.
Thaisa helped provide light for Shauntal to read while Beatrice and Portia floated around the room, occasionally looking over her shoulder to see what she had written. They helped her out with her writing from time to time and enjoyed seeing what she had to read. The two of them were her closest companions and had been with her the longest out of all her pokemon. She had a very close bond to both of them.
Gigas stood outside of her door, owing to the fact that it was very much a squeeze to fit into her room as well as it functioning as a sort of guard for Shauntal’s room. If it didn’t recognize the person trying to enter her room, it was trained to fight back without remorse. To that effect, Shauntal enjoyed having its presence. It warded off intruders well.
Shauntal let out a sigh as she focused on the words, as if expecting one of the words to just suddenly jump out at her and provide her with inspiration to write. However, she had no such luck as of yet. She was still resolute though, determined to find something to write about. After all, it had been some time since she had written a book.[/style][/style]

The Bisharp moved quickly across the rocky terrain. The Heatmor, fatigued and out of strength stood on it's feet. Giving no sign of defeat until Oda came. Lifting up his hand, the dark of the night circulating around it. Giving a quick swipe down to it's head, the Heatmor collapsed down. Leaving a large bump on it's heated head. Oda, feeling satisfied that he beat it, turned around to look at Grimsley who had only one emotion showing. Boredom. Yes, he was bored. The lack of people who came to the pokemon league was slow. It even seemed like Victory Road hadn't been touched in years. Not to mention his buddies had even started to make him bored. Caitlin was off sleeping in her bedroom, Marshal was fighting with his own pokemon, and Shauntal, he didn't exactly know what she was doing right now. She could be writing in her book, or wondering off in Unova, seeking something good to write about. Grimsley let out a sigh of disappointment. "Alright, Oda, let us find a pokemon to fight."
Reentering the bright lights of the pokemon league, he stood outside the gates of victory road. Starring at what he thought was magnificent in the past to know what was called work. Maybe even home but, it didn't feel right. Oda was behind him, surveying the area he had once stepped on with Grimsley. It was night and he knew that no one would be entering at this time. Passing the golden gates of the pokemon league and wondering off to his own "house."
A moment of surprise had caught the corner of his eye. A Golurk had been standing in front of his neighbor's door. Grimsley gave a slight smirk to his partner behind him. "Oda, don't let anyone enter the house until I'm back or, shoo them off. We don't want any miscreants infiltrating our humble home." Casting a glance at Oda, the pokemon glided his way over to the staircase. Sitting down on the pavement stairs. Grimsley felt abit guilty about leaving his partner alone. Grabbing a pokeball out from his pocket, he enlarged. Throwing it in the direction of Oda, a bright line struck out of the pokeball only to reveal another familiar face. Ogre. The Drapion stood by Oda, giving him some company to hang with until he was back. Then, grabbing another, the pokeball burst open to show a Houndoom. Grimsley lead his friend over to the Golurk who kindly let him through. He was a regular customer here at Shauntal's spooky house. It didn't surprise him that the ghost type would let him through.
The indoor decorating seemed to have the same touches as last time. A huge mess. The books were shelved with papers flying out of them and abandoned on the floor. Grimsley couldn't help but smile at his friend's mess. Hades crouched down next to him, staring up at the ghost type that were floating over by her work area. As he made his way over to her area, he saw a few of the ghost type and turn at him. It didn't exactly feel like they were staring into his soul but, he was being watched now. Hades followed behind him, on guard that now there were pokemon around. The ghost type didn't seem to keep Grimsley's attention for long. He soon was staring at the woman writing at her desk. Making a sighing sound as she thought about writing more. She seemed pretty focused on her work rather than on her surroundings. Silently, Grimsley wondered over to where she was. Looking over her shoulder to see what she had.
"Wouldn't it be better if you added in about what your pokemon reactions were?" Quickly he skimmed over what she wrote. It didn't make any sense to him but, he might as well throw some sort of feedback to her. She seemed to be struggling a bit and it wasn't very nice to leave a writer with writer's block. [/style]

Judging from the fact that Gigas didn’t try to stop this intruder added to the fact that he was a regular visitor to her hallowed halls, she was forewarned of the arrival of her fellow Elite Four member, Grimsley.
Indeed, as soon as she heard his voice, Shuantal grinned as she turned to face him. She enjoyed his company quite a bit. They had personalities that meshed well together and Shauntal spent a lot of time battling with Grimsley, trying to find counters to the Dark Type pokemon he ever so loved to use. His expertise over dark type pokemon was very useful in making Shauntal the best member she could be, even though she frequently lost their matches together.
As he gave his advice to her, Shauntal let out a heavy sigh, a sign that she had given up for the day. She could get back to idea collecting another time. Since Grimsley was here, she might as well converse with him. It had been a while since she had done so and a part of her missed their conversations together.
“Hello there Grimsley.” Shauntal calmly greeted Grimsley as she tucked her notes together and placed them in a drawer that was built-in to the table. Her mind really wasn’t in the right state at the moment to write and since Grimsley had been so courteous in talking to her, she only thought the appropriate course of action would be to indulge in conversation.
“You’re free to go now Thaisa. Thank you for the light.” Shauntal acknowledged as the Chandelure grinned at her and started floating around the room. The pokemon that were watching her drifted off towards Hermia and Cleopatra and they made sure the two of them didn’t get too naughty with the levitating equipment.
Shauntal turned her chair to face Grimsley, a faint smirk laid across her face. She crossed one of her legs over the other and leaned slightly back on the chair in an attempt to get comfortable.
”So Grimsley, what brings you here to my hallowed home? You care for a little company? Or perhaps something else?” Shauntal inquired, raising her eyebrow as she talked to her friend Grimsley. She did enjoy his presence on occasion.[/style][/style]
