GENERAL RULES ▸ Please make one account per character. On this board we are going for an honesty policy, and you may link to each of your characters in a thread if you wish to do so. Please make the display name of the account the characters full name (first and last) in all caps. They will be changed to the correct class when they are accepted.
▸ Please try not to hound staff members about applications. If a few days have passed and your question or application has not been sorted out, you may gently remind an administrator via PM but please do not yell at them on the cbox. Asking multiple times or hinting that your app hasn't been seen to yet will only result in it being put to the back line. The "finished applications" notification thread is the place to let us know that you've completed your app. Use it well.
▸ Our forum has a rating of PG13+. This is in accordance to proboards terms and conditions and anyone found to be breaking this rating will be banned and deleted immediately. Please keep cussing and any talk that might be considered inappropriate to the barest minimum in the cboxes as Pokemon is a genre for all ages.
▸ From Triumph to Tragedy has a primary focus of spelling, grammar and punctuation. We do not have a minimum post count, but giving your post a quick once-over with a spell checker will never hurt. This being said, one-liners are rarely appreciated by a roleplay partner and we do encourage you to meet the level your partner is putting out. We do also allow burst threads, so feel free to post fast, snippet-length posts too. Heck, jump over to the contact board and have a chatplay. If we get enough demand, I'll bring back the IC box.
▸ Ask questions on the cbox or in the questions and suggestions forum. We're always going to listen if you have something to say, and are always willing to help out. Members are likely able to help too, so if they're around, feel free to ask them if an admin isn't.
▸ You may have as many characters as you wish, but don't neglect them! Characters are mind-babies who you should love and cherish, if you can't find muse for a character, why not consider putting them up for adoption to see if someone else would like to take over their role? This is especially important if you lose the muse for a character who has been involved in plot points.
▸ Though in the past we were not holding activity checks, we have since decided a bi-monthly 'check in' will be necessary. They will not require any posts to keep your character, but in the last week of each second month, we will hold a check in to keep people active and give people the chance to decide if they wish to keep all their characters.

GRAPHICS RULES ▸ Icons and signature should not stretch the board if you can manage it. If you do make your signature too big, it will likely end up being squished out of the forum.
▸ Do not post explicit images on any part of the forum. If you wish to draw out a scene that may be considered explicit or triggering in any way, please post it somewhere other than our forums as we are quite strict on our rating. We have a tumblr located here if you are interested in following or contributing.
▸ Give credit where credit is due. If an image is copyrighted or watermarked, please leave it alone so the artist can take advantage of their own artwork. Most images here were located on pixiv or zerochan, or hand drawn by members. Icons come from various locations.
▸ You are not required to have any graphics on your profile. If you do, please make certain they are not offensive in any way.
▸ Signatures are your place to display your characters or your skills. You may use icons or your own graphics or you can use links to send people to the different places your character possesses (like their PC or plot page) but not to outside sites, please, leave that for the advertisement board.

IN CHARACTER RULES ▸ Keep IC and OOC seperate. They are two seperate realities, and if you cannot see the difference then we would ask you to step back for a few moments. Rude characters do not mean rude players, so keep your thinking cap on when dealing with a character who does not like your own, the roleplayer probably likes you personally plenty.
▸ Do not powerplay, metagame or godmod. If you cannot reasonably work out the outcome of a battle, ask an administrator and the winner will be randomised. Please see the pp, gm & mg guide for a description of what these three issues are and why you shouldn't do them.
▸ Do not ignore the fact that the world is in peril. There are certain places that have been destroyed by vicious storms, and please be aware of these when you are making your posts. If your character is ignorant, please explain that, but do not be ignorant yourself.
▸ Do join open threads. You might be surprised about who you enjoy roleplaying with, and how good someone may be that you haven't played with before. We are all friendly, and no one will bite. Make sure the thread is open before throwing your character in however. Don't post when there's a title claiming it for a character in particular.
▸ When an admin makes a decision - be it about a random pokemon or battle outcome - it is final. If you feel greatly wronged you may bring it up via a respectful PM to the admin and it will be discussed, but we are trying to run a stress-free, fun pokemon site where people can roleplay what they wish.
▸ Because we are wanting to give everyone the option to roleplay how they wish, there are no stats in our pokemon roleplay. Do take into account that a new trainer with only one pokemon is less likely to win in a battle against a veteran, or a bulbasaur less likely to win against a charizard, but we are wanting to give equal opportunities to everyone. If you wish to keep track of levels, you may do so in your PC.
