Getting away from the gym is just what he needs and there was one specific place that he wanted to check out whenever he gets the chance to escape from the gym while his two brothers aren’t looking. It’s not easy to get out of the gym since his brothers are on him like a hawk and on top of it; he has to take care of the restaurant too! This is his like, a life time chance to explore the Unova region a bit more while he let his brothers do all the work for him and besides, they always take breaks and leave all the dirty work on him.
According to the information that was given to him from customers who appear in the restaurant ever now as then and are mainly travelers, there is a mountain that holds a fire type legendary Pokemon known as Heatran and some wild fire type Pokemon. The gym leader heard of this legendary Pokemon due to it being a fire type and well, that was the main reason why he paid attention to the information he hears around the restaurant. If there is a place that has a bunch of fire type Pokemon or what holds a fire type legendary Pokemon then of course he has to check it out! It’s not like he is going to catch it or anything but he just thought it’ll be nice to see it in person?
As the gym leader made his way into Lentimas Town, the fire head had lifted up his head as he glanced over towards the path that’ll lead him to Reversal Mountain. The young adult took a deep breath before letting the air come out of his mouth after sighing. He glanced down to his Flareon who happened to be by his side; now this teen is use to having his other Pokemon by his side, the Pokemon he started off with and had trained years ago and that is his Pansear however, Chili felt the need of getting closer to his other Pokemon so he thought traveling with them would do the trick!
“Alright Cyril, we made it to Lentimas Town. We’ll just take a break here before we head off to Reversal Mountain. I’m excited to see what Pokemon will be in store for us.” Chili had a huge smile on his face. He was excited and a little hyper about going to a place that he never been to yet. Who knows he might run into rare fire type Pokemon in there or something! “Ahhh, I can’t take it any longer!” Chili yelled before stomping his foot on the ground while bringing up his left fist into the air. “Lets make this a short break ok?” He insisted to his Pokemon. The only response he got back from his Pokemon was “Flareon.” but he could tell that fire type creature was excited about this adventure also since she had a huge smile on her face and her tail was wagging.

It has been awkwardly quiet around Striaton City for a while now. In fact, even the famous Striaton City Gym and Cafe being looked after by the handsome Nollen's trio seem to have been slacking a little. Despite a few random gym challenges and their regular customers stopping by to enjoy their favorite dishes. Cress wanted to bring some life back into his home city, but he just didn't know what to do. Perhaps his brothers and himself should host a huge dinner party at their cafe, start up a Pokemon battle contest or even bring a fun festive to the city and invite trainers from across the different regions. Speaking of brothers, one of his brother seem to have been missing in action. Scanning across the restaurant, Cress' sap[hire blue eyes attempted to identify his fiery-head brother. Instead of finding his energetic brother, Cress found Chili's little fire monkey running around the restaurant with his own beloved water monkey. Weird, his brother seem to have left his starter Pokemon behind at the cafe, even that appeared to be a little strange for Chili to do something like that, then again his brother was known for taking action and thinking later. He had probably assumed that he had taken Simi with him. "Nice one Chili." He spoke out softly, more to himself than to anyone else. Placing his right index finger around against his chin, he started to think about the possible places that his brother might have taken off to. Within seconds a brilliant plan stuck his mind. "Clever move little brother, but you can't hide from me, brother." He chuckled to himself, making his way toward a female customer. He remember Chili having a brief conversation with her earlier. With a quick hair flip and a charming smile he would use his suave personality to work his charm on the customer and get her to spill the location of his brother.
After about ten minutes of mingling with the female customer, he soon discovered his brother's location. "Thanks gorgeous, it's was nice talking to you. I hope you to see you around later." He stated, flashing her another cunning smile. So Chili ran off to the mountains to look for a legendary Fire Pokemon without telling Cilan nor him about his a venture. Typical Chili, Cress thought to himself. "Ren, Simi it's time to stop monkeying around you guys. We have to go catch up with Chili. Besides, I'm sure that he's missing you right now Simi." The two element monkeys quickly came to a quick halt before leaping on Cress's shoulder. Ren resting on his right shoulder and Simi sitting on his left shoulder. "And if we hurry, we should be able to catch up with him in time." He added looking over at Ren then at Simi, who seem to been a little pissed that his trainer had left him behind. Not bothering to tell his other brother about their little journey, Cress carefully rushed out of the cafe and headed toward Lentimas Town.
Finally, after walking several miles the trio had reached their destination. However, Chili still wasn't in their sight. Maybe they were further behind him than Cress thought that they would have been at the moment. No worries, he wasn't able to give up. Taking a red and white sphere from his belt bucket, Cress carefully tossed the pokeball into the air gracefully, watching it as a radiant light of crimson beamed out and soon formed into a beautiful Swanna. "Sumi, fly ahead and seek out Chili. Let us know if you find him." He commanded his elegant Swan Pokemon. Within the blink of an eye Sumi jetted through the open skies with natural grace. Meanwhile, Cress, Ren and Simi continued to travel the path by foot.
About ten minutes had passed and Sumi's keen eyes quickly captured the image of a red haired guy and his Flareon taking a short break down blow. Immediately, she had identified the the traveler as her trainer's brother. The Swan Pokemon released a loud, soprano cry and began to fly around in circles, letting her trainer and the others know that she had indeed found Chili. "That's my girl!" Cress smiled, looking toward his Water Pokemon circling the sky as she pinpointed his brother's location. he didn't waste anymore time jogging down the path. "EDRIC! How dare you leave the cafe without telling Cilan or me. Oh yeah, and you should be ashamed for leaving poor little Simi alone too!" he snapped at his brother. Simi seem to have had a few words to say to him trainer too, so he didn't waste anytime jumping out of Cress' shoulder and running toward his trainer. "Besides, you should know that by now you can't run or hide for me." He laughed, returning his Swanna back into her pokeball. Ren laughed along with his trainer, then licked his tongue out at Chili, making sure that Cress wouldn't catch him.
In you and I, there's a new land. Angels in flight. My sanctuary, my sanctuary. Where fears and lies melt away. Music will tie. What's left of me, what's left of me now? I watch you fast asleep. All my fears mean nothing. In you and I, there's a new land. Angels in flight. My sanctuary, my sanctuary. Where fears and lies melt away. ♡
"I think we needed more ginger. Oh, and olive oil, right?" Cilan questioned as he allowed his eyes to scan the length of the shelves at the Straiton City Supermarket. The Pansage on his shoulder, Monterey, sat firmly on his shoulder, nodding in a response to Cilan's words. They needed many things, but for now, they were only getting stuff that to them, was obviously going to be used in many of the popular dishes. From what he knew, Cress and Chili, his dear brothers, were still at home at the restaurant/gym that owned, hopefully serving all of the eager customers. He delicately lifted some ginger and placed it into the basket he had on his arm. Then, after traveling to another lane to retrieve some olive oil, he glanced at Monterey. "That should be it for now, we better head back!" Walking over to the registers, the rather shy gym leader placed his items on the counter, smiling when the cashier spoke to him but not saying much back. This happened when he wasn't in the restaurant, or talking to his brothers or his Pokemon. He had always been quite shy, so he had trouble talking to people when he wasn't trying to do his job, or if they were someone he didn't know all that well. It was a pathetic quality for a gym leader to possess, but Cilan tried to work around it all the same.
As he rounded the corner, he slowed to a stop as he realized the activity from earlier had died down considerably. What was going on? Then, a thought hit him. What if Chili had gone wandering off again? Cress would have certainly gone after him, and what if he had forgotten that Cilan had gone to fetch some groceries in the first place?! Now a bit panicky, his feet moved quicker until he got to the door and pushed it open with his free shoulder. Noticing a lot of the customers seemed a little upset, Cilan swallowed down his nerves quickly. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience everyone." He moved over to the door and flipped the sign around to closed before explaining he'd serve the remaining customers, but they have to close early today. Calling out his team of six, Cilan instructed each one of them of their jobs. Feta rushed around with Mozzarella, making sure everyone was situated while Cilan took orders, and he and the rest of the team went to the back, each assisting with the cooking in their own way. Finally, when everything was done, and the last customer had left, Cilan sighed in relief.
"Good, I was able to work it out myself this time..." He murmured to himself in pure relief. He left the gym with Jack at his side, the Sheep Pokemon floating on the winds for quite a while before they located the two missing brothers. "Finally. I had to close the restaurant because you two weren't there when I got back from shopping..." Cilan explained, panting slightly like he had been running.
Chill began to shiver as if a cold wind had hit his skin and had rushed down his body but to Chili, he knows exactly what that meant and he knew instantly that he had to get out of here and fast! The Gym leader glanced around, wondering if they were nearby however, that was when Flareon had spoken to grab his attention. Once Chili had noticed, he looked up at the sky, the same direction that his Flareon. That was when he saw it; a half flying and water type Pokemon as if it was scanning. Chili stood there for a bit until he started shivering again. He covered up his arms as he glanced down to his Flareon. “Aw Crap, my Brother senses are tingling!” He murmured before shaking his head. “Break time is over now it’s time to… It’s already too late for that.
Right when he was going to finish his sentence, he heard his brother calling out his middle name, the name that he refused any one of his brothers to call him. He doesn’t like being called that, it doesn’t fit his personality as a fire type gym leader and it just sounds weird. Chili’s face was turning red like an apple as steam came out from his ears. He turned around to see Cress, the bother that he was hoping he would never run into because of that damn thing, that Panpour! Chili didn’t even bother to pay attention to Ren because he was too pissed about Cress calling him Edric. “Cress, how many times did I tell you NOT TO CALL ME EDRIC!” He snapped before pointing his finger at him. “Do you want me to call you by your middle name huh?” Gosh he hates being called that damn it, now he isn’t excited or hyper anymore but instead he is annoyed and pissed off however, there was something that surprised him though.
Simi was on Cress shoulder and Cress mentioned…. he left him? Chili was blinking constantly as if he barely believed it before tilting his head to the right. “Wait, I thought.” Chili dug his hand into his pocket to take out Simi’s Pokeball but only to find the pokeball empty. The fire head face started to turn red again since he knew that Simi was going to burn his face again for this. “But I, I thought you were in here wait did I forget to put you inside your pokeball huh?” He shook his head before sighing. He placed the empty pokeball back into his pocket. “Damn it, sorry Simi, I’m ready for you to blow fire on my face.” He murmured. “And for the record Cress, I managed to run away from you a couple of times. I can’t like have a day to be alone now can’t I?” Chili murmured but soon turned into a growl when he heard Ren laughing. “Well laugh at me all you want but what about the restaurant although I’m sure Cilan can handle it.”
Speaking of his shy green hair brother, there he is! Chili had turned his head to see his other brother joining the group. The red hair slapped his forehead, realizing that his brothers attach to him like a magnet. “Sorry Cilan I was hopping and suspecting Cress was going to keep his nose out of my business to help you out with the restaurant but thanks for bringing Simi however, now that you guys are here I guess we can all take a lovely trip to Reversal Mountain and don’t even think about dragging me back home yet. I’m considering of catching me some new fire type Pokemon friends ok and I really don’t want to hear the mouth about how week I am got it?” This time he was focusing on his brother Cress since he has no confidence in him at all.
❝A drop in the ocean, A change in the weather, I was praying that you and me might end up together. It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert, But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven❞
Cress knew that it was forbidden for him to call his little brother by his middle name because it always annoyed the living hell out of him, but that's why he enjoyed calling him that anyway. "Don't care, unlike you, I like my middle name." He shrugged, snapping his teeth at his brother's finger that was currently being pointed at him. "Sorry Edric, but you're going to have to think of another way to attempt to annoy me." He added, now chuckling a little bit.
"Well, you thought wrong. Then again, that's your issue. You don't really think...Do you?" Cress shook his head then pushed his hands inside of his pants. He knew that he could be a little hard on his brothers at times, but he still loved them to death and would do anything for them. Including protecting them from anyone else who would try to bully them or give them a hard time. "You know brother, you can be quite selfish at times. You're not the only one who would like to escape from the restaurant and explore the outside world. He stated, making eye contact with him. "No need to worry about the restaurant, Cilan is taking great care of it." He added, little did he know that their green-haired brother would soon be catching up with them.
Hearing the voice of his another brother, Cress quickly turned his attention away from Chili and focused them on Cilan. "Cilan, what are you doing here?" He asked his brother curiously. Obviously, Cilan had come to find them. "Sorry, I noticed that Chili was missing and since I'm the eldest I figured that I should be the one to go after him to make sure that he's safe and out of trouble. I forgot that it was your turn to go shopping. My apologies."
He spoke to him sincerely.
Looking back over at Chili, a little smirk soon crossed his lips. "For once, I agree with you. Let's go on a little adventure. Hopefully, it will make you a little more stronger and confident." he stated, shrugging his shoulders a bit. "Yeah, yeah, let's just go already." He spoke, looking over at both of his brothers this time.
♡ Cilan's concerned green eyes followed his brother's conversation nervously, shifting back and forth as Chili and Cress each spoke to him in turn. He allowed his eyes to move down to the ground, looking at his feet as he waved off their apologies. Since they had already taken care of it, it was fine. They didn't have to worry about anything. When Chili mentioned Reversal Mountain, Cilan nodded gently.
"Sure...since I closed up we're already ready to go..." his soft voice managed as Jack floated to a resting position in Cilan's arms. He didn't know exactly, if he wanted to go however. Reversal mountain had a ton of fire types, and he wasn't sure if it was really the right place for him, a pure grass-type trainer. What if they got attacked by something?
Jack brushed Cilan's chin lightly with his fluffy fur, reminding him that maybe it was a good idea to do what he always did. Cilan walked forwards until he stood right next to Cress. This, was what he normally did during things like this. Anything that scared him slightly, he'd hide behind their oldest brother. It was the way it had been since they were kids, so walking with him would make it easier to keep his calm.
Lame excuse but had to make Chili's life such a fail.

O
f course he doesn’t and that what annoys Chili the most. His brother can troll him with that nickname of his but he can’t seem to do much of anything to troll his brother back. “Whatever Cress but just to repeat it to you again, I don’t like being called Edric because it doesn’t fit my inner fire like the name Chili.” He reminded him. That’s just it; it does not fit his personality of a fire type like the name ”Chili” resembling flames or hot flames like a Chili Pepper. It’s hard to explain.
Oh now he wants to start up again? Chili growled, gripping his hand onto his backpack strap tighter to hold onto his anger before snapping. “I’m not the only one who has issues and for the record I do think thank you very much. I have a brain and I’m not stupid!” He is not in the mood for this since he does this to him every time he is around him so now he is just tired of fighting back and he knows that Cilan hates the two of them arguing. Ignoring Simi, Chili had returned Simi into his Pokeball before sighing. “Sorry Simi, I’ll talk to you later. I just need some time with my Flareon.” He said to his Pokemon in the pokeball before placing it inside of hic pocket.
Now that Cilan is here and it seems like Cress is going to be joining the fun, this means that he’ll have to deal with more drama and Cress bad mouth about him. Lets not forget about his dumb lecture about how much he fails and doesn’t think. This isn’t going to be fun anymore damn it! Chili already started walking ahead of his brothers, almost forgetting that they where even there. His Flareon was pacing by his side, turning its head to check on the other two to see if they are following. Chili sighed, wondering how far Reversal Mountain is but there was something else that seemed to spark his interest. There is a spooky house close by to the mountain and that seems like a fun place to investigate however, Cilan would be scared as heck if they head there well damn it.
“Have you two heard of the Spooky house?” Chili asked his brothers while turning his head to look at them. “I heard rumors about ghosts roaming around in there, probably just a bunch of ghost Pokemon though. I want to check it out later, maybe after the we have a lovely adventure in the mountain.” Was he trying to scare his brother Cilan? Nah, he doesn’t want his brother to go in there anywise since he would run off like a Pachirisu on crack! Chili sighed before turning back around. “But I’ll do it when you guys aren’t around. I wouldn’t want it to freak you guys out. Oh I think we made…it” Chili excitement had gone to disappointment when he found a sign saying that the mountain is closed down because something happened. Of course his luck ran out and now his brother, Cress is going to laugh his head off at him. “Are you freaking kidding me?” Oh yeah he was pissed and now his face was turning red. He stomped his foot on the ground before looking over his brothers. “Well damn it, I guess we have to come another day. Do you want to check out that Spooky House or got any other suggestions we should do while we are out here?” Screw his life, just screw it! He can’t seem to get anything to go right on his side!
