There would be no consummation to dote the start of the Silph-Berlitz marriage. Instead, Fernando had opted for something more practical; a battle atop Mount Coronet at the peak of Spear Pillar. Platinum had never suspected that it was just a ruse for Fernando to enter the sacred grounds unopposed, her trust in his goodness was misplaced. As his wife, she would soon learn just how terrible he could be.
Alone, Fernando had stripped to the bare essentials: six pokeballs and some thick cargo pants. Pure nudity had been his preference but Platinum had pleaded him to show some class. Mount Silver had been treacherous as a child but Fernando was no longer a child. He lied on a thin line between a man in his prime and an insatiable monster. It was getting harder to distinguish between the two, but Fernando was fine with that. It made him stronger.
What his wife thought was concern was purely selfish. He had urged her to go on without him, giving her a head start and not really caring how she made it. Going by helicopter was fine by him, it didn’t matter. His focus was his own journey, the rugged climb against the soothing cold and breeze winds. Hiking was child’s play for him. Rocks were nothing more than nuisances.
Mount Coronet was only a cheap whore in comparison with the unforgiving peak of Johto. Fernando had reached the top, dyed in speckles of his own dried blood, unsatisfied with the effortless climb.
“Are you ready, Berlitz?”
Spear Pillar would mark the beginning of their merger.
It was only fitting that the place of her night terrors, the place Giratina had first appeared, would be the place where Fernando beat her into the role of his adoring waifu.

Platinum knew that Fernando expected the weakest option for her. She had felt the urge to do exactly what he expected but she had changed her mind last moment, certain that all she would do was make the image he had of her in his mind cemented. And she was not weak. She was not what he thought of her.
A mountain trek was not everyone's ideal honeymoon. But Fernando was the one calling the shots and that was what he wanted to do. She would not fight against the first order of her husband, she would not back down so easily and have failed her family before the first night.
Platinum had not used a helicopter to get to the peak. She had worn some slightly more appropriate climbing gear and thick boots. It made her look strange to be garbed in hiker's clothes but she wanted to prove her worth. A few scrapes here and there from the climb were proof enough that she'd done her best. Standing behind her were Empoleon and Pachirisu.
Itching to battle this new man in their life, the electric squiral and steel penguin were protective of their trainer who stood firm as she waited. This very place was terrifying to her. It was not her favourite spot in Sinnoh nor would it ever be. After all, this was Giratina's place. Perhaps one of the places closest to the distortion world.
"I am always ready to battle, Fernando. That is the purpose of a trainer, is it not?" She folded her hands into her lap, standing tall. "Do you need time to recover from your climb before we battle? I brought water with me if you require." A simple answer indeed, but a true one.
Platinum did not want to go through with this, but it was important. That was why she was here. For her family.
For some reason, people have this odd notion that Pokemon are meant to be friends with their trainers. It’s the ultimate lie but everyone believes it. No one is strong enough to swallow the fact that their creatures, lower tiers of the food chain that obey human because they must. They’re tools of protection and pets made for entertainment. They’re raised, not loved, bred for battle and pitted against each other for amusement.
Only Fernando accepts this truth. He’s far from a Plasma sympathizer, but even he can understand that the earth is a dominion for humans to reign. After all, he’s one of the people who sits atop the social mountain, a secret tyrant who desires absolute control over his home of Kanto. But he’ll have to bide his time, wait for that crone he calls a father to pass away. For now he’ll be satisfied by asserting his supremacy over his wife.
But she’s only a child.
“Anything goes. Prepare yourself.”
Empty words do little to break the tension as Fernando crouches, pulling out a pokeball and sizing up his opponents. Her concern for him is unneeded and thusly ignored. The only thought racing through his mind right now is how to take care of the Empoleon, the more intimidating of the two.
His answer reveals itself as an imposing Electrive. The thunderous ape comes out with a roar, pounding its chest in a show of aggression. It’s been way too long since the last time the pokemon has been called upon, and for good reason. Without command, the pokemon fires off a reckless THUNDER toward the trio.
Electrive knows its place. Fernando is the most capable opponent on the field. If he’s going take out his rage on the pesky human, it’s in his best interest to take care of any possible interlopers.

Platinum had expected that he wouldn't be holding back. She clenched her fists as she sent forward her Pachirisu who took the bolt of thunder without second thought. It wasn't even a necessary command, the electric squirrel was more interested in the fact that the large gorilla-like electric type was pounding it's chest and proving its manliness. Something that she didn't care for.
Platinum seldom battled for the sake of a battle. Which was why this occassion was like every other of her occurances. It had a purpose and a meaning just like each of her gym battles. Just like when she had defeated Team Galactic. This battle was to signify a part of her life and she was not about to just let him trample her and make a mockery of something she was very, very good at.
Pachirisu let it's own electricity crackle on it's high-voltage cheeks as it danced around the ground. It's large tail shot it up into the air as she batted her cute little eyes and Platinum announced her first command. "Turn his gender and strength against it, Pachirisu. Give it time, then if it works, attempt hyper fang!" Her voice was calm and collected as the pokemon attempted to charm the Electivire using a CAPTIVATE. It waited for it's second move, the HYPER FANG until it had some kind of opening, unsure whether or not it was safe to attack.
Platinum on the other hand briefly wondered what she would do if she lost. Her reputation would be ruined amongst the dex holders.
Fernando watched as the Pachirisu took the attack, shaking it off as if it was nothing. At least he knew the little rat some resistant to electric attacks, probably a ground or electric type. Foreign pokemon were always a pain to deal with. But, even so, it was just a mouse, a small pokemon that could easily be handled.
In the span of several seconds, after the THUNDER hit, while Pachirisu was using its CAPTIVATE, Fernando plucked another pokeball off his person. Platinum’s orders had betrayed herself. The fact that she had told her pokemon to go in for a melee attack would work in his favor. All he had to do was wait for the CAPTIVATE to hit, causing his Electrive to stay aimlessly at the opposing Pachirisu. Once the Electrive was defenseless, too captivated by the smaller mouse, it would be open for the HYPER FANG. That would be his precise moment to strike!
“Magmortar!”
A flash of light would block Pachirisu’s path, revealing an equally intimidating Magmortar. The Blast pokemon didn’t even have to think twice, bringing both its arm cannons in front of it before spewing out a stream of FLAME THROWER. Even if the Pachirisu attacked it with HYPER FANG it would be met with a hot surprise. Magmortar’s FLAME BODY renders it near invulnerable to physical attack, lest the attacker prefers a nice heaping of burn.
Electrive soon follows up, grumbling at the presence of its rival and standing beside the Magmortar. It sizzles with electricity once more, firing another THUNDER away from the Parchirisu and instead, at Platinum and her Empoleon.

Platinum hadn't expected the Magmortar. Neither had the Pachirisu who had sunk it's HYPER FANG into the pokemon's flame body and had come off severly burned, whimpering in pain. Instantly Plat had lowered her defenses, a move she regretted quickly but had no time to do so. She wouldn't make the pokemon battle unless she had to. THe burn was bad, there was no need to push herself through it. Thankfully she had other pokemon.
But the distraction had left her open for attack from the Electivire and she snarled visibly as the Thunder was caught by the wing-flipper of the steel penguin. Though she was injured and the singe mark was clear on her rubbery hide, the Empoleon was one of Platinum's strongest pokemon and the THUNDER may have hurt, but she was tough enough to endure. Platinum let her fingers roam idly on the pokeballs on her belt, waiting for a better opportunity. As she did so, the water and steel type sent a powerful, hyper attack towards the Magmortar with a nod of approval from her trainer. The mega HYDRO CANNON was a move that she had strived hard to acheive, taught only to the dex holders and their pokemon. The most powerful tutor moves available. And only taught by one woman.
Her next move was to tap the opening button on one of her pokeballs, knowing the feel by instinct. Instantly the Lopunny burst from it and stretched out her long legs and ears. She was watching carefully, and a look pointedly at Empoleon's wing gave the normal type the indication to use HEALING WISH as a support, wanting to be certain that her team was at it's best. Platinum watched the strong final evolutions of Fernando's pokemon carefully. He was seemingly going literally by the fact that there were no rules which left her concerned about what she might do if he were to bring out something else. They were two strong pokemon. She just had to figure out how to beat them, should the Hydro Cannon have been unsuccessful on the Magmortar.
Magmortar would grunt, reeling back as the throbbing pain pulsated from where the Pachirisu bit him. The HYPER FANG hurt but that was it, a minor pain that could be ignored. What concerned the magma pokemon more, the feeling that couldn’t be ignored, was the throbbing need to set everything ablaze. Mount Sinnoh was several degrees too cold, far from warm, and perfect to be hollowed out into a blasting place of pure, molten lava. Fernando’s battling pokemon were just as greedy as him, just as hungry, but not nearly as competent.
There had been no command this time so Fernando couldn’t see it coming. Instincts would tell him to pull something out, to try and wedge his Wobbuffet to reflect the attack. Doing so would be impossible; the attack was simply too fast. The best possible scenario for him was for his Electivire to soak the attack. That would require the Electivire to be agile, sharp, responsive. It was, but it avoided the attack altogether, too selfish to help out its bitter rival. The HYDRO CANNON struck true and sent the Magmortar flying several meters back, landing with a loud thud. Fernando refused to call it back, allowing the water attack to cool it off as it laid there, somewhat unconscious.
“Thunder, again, until it’s dead.”
His command dominates the air around him, demanded respect and the Electrivire has no other choice but to abide by it. Another second is all the breathing room Platinum is given as the electricity builds up within the lusting ape. Lightning is fast, immediate, and if she blinks she’ll miss it. Another second passes and the THUNDER is released. Explosive, the energy ripples out in a show of light as the attack surges forward. It doesn’t even groan its destructive bang before Electivire starts charging up again. Energy returns to the electric pokemon and the air between it and Empoleon burst in an explosion of sound. Thunder is loud, menacing, a pure terror.
If he’s to dominate her then he cannot relent.

She was not normally this thrown by a person's battling skills, but Fernando was relentless in his onslaught of attacks. He did not even return the Magmortar which had clearly taken the lion's share of damage from her Empoleon's insane attack. "You will not kill my Pokemon, Fernando." She snarled, low under her breath and in a much less lady-like fashion. She would not listen to his words, the dominant effect of them merely aggravating her further. The THUNDER shot towards her Empoleon, and she knew she would have very little chance again, but as her Lopunny faints and revives the female penguin pokemon thanks to the HEALING WISH she had been granted, Empoleon turns rapidly on the Electivire.
Deciding to use a move that was fast in reaction to counteract the next Thunder she knew would be headed her way, and directed her gaze at Empoleon, "Vacuum Wave, then fall back as quickly as you can.. " She doubted that her partner would be able to escape quite fast enough from another thunder attack, but the Electric gorilla might take enough damage that she would be able to take him out using another of her pokemon afterwards. It leapt forward with the VACUUM WAVE attack, desperate to do as it's master an trainer wished.
Her mind ticked over the many battles she had as she returned the fainted Lopunny and badly burned Pachirisu, realising that her luck and Pokemon were quickly running out and the only Pokemon she had managed to down was his Magmortar. She trailed her fingers over the pokeball belonging to her Cherrim and held it in her hands, letting the Empoleon be her leader in this particular battle.
Rapidash, Cherrim and Froslass would wait their turn. Right now, it was Empoleon fighting her hardest against Electivire -- and she had to see who would win.
Summary: Lopunny faints, healing Empoleon with enough time for it to barely survive thunder. Empoleon uses Vacuum Wave on Electivire. Lopunny and Pachirisu are returned. We wait.
Words are empty and Platinum has no authority to tell him what he will and will not do. He doesn’t intend to go through with slaying the bird but she doesn’t know that and neither does his Electivire. As far as his pokemon is concerned, the command is just encouragement to do what it would’ve done naturally. Fernando breeds violence and his pokemon are no different.
But there’s a difference between master and servant. While they both reek of aggression, only the master knows how to display any sort of finesse. Fernando waits, allowing the Empoleon to react, to intercept the THUNDER with a VACUUM WAVE. The priority moves proves fast, too fast, and collides with the THUNDER head on. Unfortunately, it does little to stop the attack, merely deflecting it. Things aren’t looking too good and another THUNDER is already in the air, poised to follow up with what the first couldn’t.

Platinum knew she was losing. She had not managed to take out the Electivire with the attack she had planned on downing it with, and her Empoleon fell to the ground in pain, fainting from the force of the next Thunder attack. The young heiress - and new wife - narrowed her eyes in annoyance as she flicked open her next Pokeball. Her best bet was to use Rapidash, the Pokemon that had been in her posession the longest and who knew her instincts best of all.
As the thunder dissipated and she returned her Empoleon to her Pokeball, wanting to make sure that Fernando did not continue his threats to harm her till she was dead whilst the Rapidash reared on it's back legs and whinnied softly. He was her lifelong companion, her childhood Ponyta, and he would not let her down willingly. Nosiree. All it took was a flick of her wrist to direct him forward and he was thundering towards the Electivire with a FLARE BLITZ, not caring about the impact of the attack. He had his reasons. He was going to leap forward with his next attack as soon as it hit, he wanted to manage to win for his trainer. He wanted her to succeed.
So did Platinum. She wanted to win to prove herself.
Summary: Empoleon faints and is returned. Rapidash is sent out. Rapidash uses Flare Blitz.
To think that Fernando wouldn’t follow up the moment the Empoleon is struck is a gravest mistake one can make. He never stops moving, always thinking ahead and trying to anticipate the opponent’s next move. With the Empoleon down and his earlier taunt still fresh in her mind, he expects Platinum to recall the clipped bird. Quick to the draw, his hand is already resting on another pokeball. Patiently, he waits for the pokemon to appear before tossing out one of his own, switching to a different ball than the one he had initially touched.
“Counter!””
A Lucario appears, or so it seems, taking its place in front of the growling Electivire. Unafraid of the oncoming equine, the Lucario bends down onto its knees, predicting the attack and ready to retaliate. It would be impossible to stop the imminent FLARE BLITZ but COUNTER allows Lucario to work around it, twirling around the horse as it passes and making a grab for its neck. Despite its smaller size the Lucario finds an unnatural strength to its step, using a forward momentum to whirl the horse around, looking to redirect the horse right into the ground.
Post by PLATINUM BERLITZ-SILPH on Jan 11, 2013 6:50:09 GMT 9.5
The Rapidash was thrown into the ground, but he did not falter despite the pain that shook him - and sent a shudden coursing down Platinum's spine - the COUNTER attack worked and it worked well, but there was nothing to it. "Now, Rapidash!" Platinum shouted, staring at the fire horse to set one of it's strongest attacks on the Lucario - one that was it's weakness due to it's steel typing.
The fire horse's main, hooves and tail lit more furiously and it released an epic FIRE BLAST, using the Lucario's physically close proximity against it in an attempt to knock it down with an attack it was weak to. At the same time, Platinum released Froslass who sent an ICE SHARD shooting towards the Electivire, wanting to make sure it was not two against one.
That was her only option.
Summary: Counter hits. Rapidash uses Fire Blast in close proximity to Lucario. Froslass is sent out. Froslass uses Ice Shard on Electivire.
