Grayson, well, he wasn't too sure exactly how he'd ended up out here. Sinnoh was a large place, but for some reason, today, the day had led he and Delane here, to Jubilife City. Personally, well, he hated crowds, and he normally did everything in his power to avoid them. But today, he had let Delane drift on the wind. And here they ended up. Oh, how lovely. And he meant that with the utmost sarcasm. He let a sigh escape his lips and drew another breath. This was going to be a long day. And he really didn't feel like dealing with it. Beside him, his Lopunny and Furret followed close with his steps, not wishing to lose him in the rush of city-oriented folks. Divandra huffed slightly, stopping Grayson with a pull to his pant leg when she spotted something rather...upsetting. A billboard, with a gorgeous looking Lopunny. And that Lopunny wasn't her. "Punny!" she called in a disgruntled tone. Gray looked up at the Billboard himself, and let out a good natured laugh, patting her softly between the ears. It took Riddle a moment to understand what Diva had been so upset about, but once she realized, a squirrely little Chortle escaped her as well. "Don't worry Divandra, I know I don't have to tell you how well groomed you are every ten seconds, you just know, right?" Diva looked up at him, fluff-clad arms crossed as she watched him pick up the pace again. "Furret fur!" No sooner had Riddle seemed to suggest getting a move on, Divandra was glaring at her. The Furret shrugged. Anyone on their team, knew better than to get into a squabble with the little diva devil Divandra, so, Riddle hurried to catch up to Grayson. The man felt the Furret clamber up his body, wrapping her form around his neck like a long scarf, head resting on his shoulder as he scratched behind her ear. He took a slower pace, allowing Divandra to have her little episode without losing her among the many...what would they be called? Jubilians? Whatever the case, he was rather focused on not misplacing his Lopunny. "Furret Furret!" Grayson noticed instantly that his Furret's eyes were sparkling, and he followed her Turquoise gaze to an Ice Cream cart sitting on one of the corners. They probably had Poffin pops or something like that, so he nodded at her. "Fine. But no chocolate. You stick to the Poffin flavors." He mentioned sternly as he walked over to the cart. "Three, please." When he noticed the man looking at him quizzically he nodded to the Lopunny that was just on the other corner. "Just in case she feels like it." After paying for the frozen treats, he stopped at a nearby bench, where Divandra finally joined them, and he handed her a Pink Pop, the stick wrapped in a napkin. She began to eat in a rather dignified way, but squealed when she saw a few green droplets from the Furret's Iced treat (Who by the way, had her face buried unceremoniously into the frozen goodie). Grayson sighed, pausing from his Vanilla cone to wet a cloth with some of his bottled water in order to clean it off, against his better judgement, leaving his cone with the unrelenting tan ferret. Now he remembered why he stopped buying chocolate Ice Cream.

[KADE VICTORY]

Kade made her way through the crowds, looking like she wanted to murder someone.  It was so danged crowded, and she wished that it would just clear up already.  Only Lilac was out, balancing precariously on her shoulders for dear life.  She missed the warmth of her Ponyta.  Heck, even little Whiz, with his tiny round body, would be a nice addition.  Not to say that Lilac's company wasn't thoroughly welcomed, au contraire.  No, what bothered her was that for so long she had avoided busy cities like this that not to have two more Pokemon out was disconcerting.  But she was frightened they'd get lost, or - in the case of Flame or Embers - hurt someone.

That's when she saw a familiar face.  Or rather, the hair - the face came a moment later.  Kade stared for a moment before bursting out into a huge grin.  "Grayson, Gray!"  she called, waving.  She pushed her way through the crowd, approaching Grayson with three of his Pokemon.  "Hey!"  She grinned at him, rocked back on her heels, but she wasn't able to resist.

Enthusiastic, forceful, a bit of a tornado when it came to personality - she promptly hugged him tightly, ignoring the fact that yes, some ice cream got on her shirt.  Lilac hopped down and sniffed at Riddle, before attempting to steal some of the Furret's ice cream immediately after his face cleaning.  She watched him with a mischievous look in her eye, as if waiting to see what he'd do.

Kade pulled away from the hug, frowning at the ice cream at her shirt.  "I, uh, apparently need to not hug you when you're surrounded by ice cream," she said, blinking.  But then she grinned back at him, scooting Pokemon (gently, mind you) and ice cream out of the way if need be to plop next to him.  That's when she noticed Lilac attempting to steal Riddle's ice cream.

"I - hey!  I'll buy you some ice cream if you're that desperate for it, Lilac," she complained.  The Espeon hopped on over to Kade's lap, where she was pet between the ears.

Lilac eyed Kade's other Pokeballs and pawed at them.  "What, do you think the others would want some ice cream too?  Well, okay.  Can I catch up with my brother first?"

Lilac huffed, but accepted this and remained on Kade's lap, where she got a good ear-scratching.

"How have you been, it's been forever?"  Kade grinned at him, settled down to chat and talk and relax.  In the middle of a crowd, which he probably still hated, but you can relax on a bench despite the crowd, right?

She hoped so anyways.

Of course, under the Furret's 'watchful' eye, Grayson had never expected his cone to stand a chance, and it didn't, because she had already finished her cone and was beginning to work on his. He sighed and held Divandra's cone out of the way so she could preen herself. He glanced at her, stating rather flatly. "The things I do for you guys." Divandra ignored him, instead opting to begin grooming her ears like he hadn't said anything at all. He rolled his eyes but sat back patiently, with the pink ice pop resting idly in his hand. "Hm?" He looked up at his name, smiling when he realized that talking to him, was indeed his kid sister, Kade. He hadn't seen her in quite some time, well, of course aside from the occasional phone call, he didn't really know how she was doing. "Kad--" Of course before he could get a word out, he was nearly bowled over by his youngest sibling, in a hug that would probably crush his ribs, if she tried hard enough. He smiled at her, though he noticed Divandra looked kind of irritated, and he realized why. Kade had broken her popsicle, and now some of it was on her shirt. He sighed, pulling out the cloth he had used to wipe Divandra's ear earlier. "You really need to pay more attention to detail, Kade, ice cream or no Ice cream." He mentioned. "I'll get you another one Divandra, don't worry." He was greeted with a huffy response from Divandra and sighed. "Furret!" Riddle greedily held the cone to her, backing away from Lilac. Normally, Riddle was willing to share everything. Her bed, her trainer...but not her food. You could never, ever touch Riddle's food. In fact, the Furret Greedily stuffed her cheeks with the remainder of the cone, letting out a low growl to indicate that no, she wouldn't share. But darn was it cold. Grayson rolled his eyes. "Don't you be whining if you end up with Brainfreeze, girl." He mentioned to the Furret as she scurried from the bench to allow Kade to sit down, resting at Grayson's feet. As his sister asked he was, he shifted uncomfortably to look at how busy the streets were, but then looked back over to her. "I'm fine. Watching over the Sanctuary as usual. But Delane decided I needed a break and nabbed me this morning. Though of all places he dragged me here." He shook his head. "And how are you doing?"

Kade rolled her eyes at the Furret's greedy hoarding of the cone. Silly. She was going to get brainfreeze. Lilac and stealing food - when had that become common? She shook her head at the Espeon, who just looked up at her innocently.

She grinned at Grayson's comment.  "Yeah, I know.  Getting ice cream on my shirt isn't the best of ideas."  She giggled as, as if on cue, Lilac started licking the ice cream on her shirt off.  Kade sighed at the Espeon but of course didn't scold her.  Instead, she apologized to Divandra (who seemed to be the one who's ice cream she ruined).

"I'm sorry for ruining your ice cream," she told the Lopunny, holding out her hand as if in a peace offering.  She frowned, squirming a bit.  Oh, she could take at least Whiz out, for Pete's sakes!  She grabbed the Pokeball with her Natu in it and let the Pokemon escape.  Whiz shook his feathers and then hopped on top of Kade's head.  The girl grinned.

Now, Embers or Flame would be an absolute disaster.  Embers was too much of a diva, and Flame was too big (plus she'd burn people.  Not a good idea).  Stupid crowd, Kade thought disdainfully as she looked around.  Lit and Cap could probably join the party.  Kade debated with Lit, and decided his friendliness overrode his tendency and insatiable urge for further energy for the flame he had.  So they joined the "party".

Lilac was startled, however, when Lit decided to sit on her.  "Espe!" the Espeon protested, shaking him off before pouncing on him.  Kade blinked.

She looked sympathetically at her brother.  "Yeah, you don't like crowds, right?  I bet this is pretty uncomfortable for you."  Looking back at the playing Litwick and Espeon, with her Raltz hiding behind her leg, she grinned.  "But Pokemon will do what they will do.  It takes a good trainer to be willing to go in uncomfortable situations so their Pokemon are happy."  She shrugged, grinned at Grayson.

"I've missed you," she said sincerely, "Honestly?  I've missed everyone.  But I've also been really happy.  It's fun to travel.  I obviously have a Litwick now - I'm pretty proud of that."  Whiz pecked the top of her head, and she cringed.  "Of course, I also adore my Natu.  He's really smart, always a good problem-solver."  She patted the top of Whiz's head, reaching up over her own head to do as such.  "Naahh!" the bird-like Pokemon tweeted.  Kade giggled.

"How's the Pokemon Sanctuary doing?"  An idea came to her then.  "Hey -- maybe I can stay here for like a month or something, help you out with it.  If that's okay with you!"  She grinned at him.  Only to get pawed at by her Espeon.

"Okay, okay, I get the point," Kade complained, "Ice cream time it is."  She gave in and let Flame and Embers out.  To the Ponyta, she said firmly: "Stay here.  We can't have you burning anyone."  As for the Vulpix, she set the prissy diva on Gray's lap.

"Stay on the bench and let my big brother pet you, okay?  If you drop down, someone might step on your tail."  After giving Kade a horrified look, the Vulpix settled next to Grayson and did her best to look like royalty.  She was fairly successful.

Kade waddled over to the ice cream cart, flanked by Lilac, Lit, Whiz (still on her head), and Raltz (still clinging to her leg).  There, she ordered ice cream for herself, the four beside her, one for Flame and Embers to share (special for fire-type Pokemon of course), and a pink ice pop for Divandra.  She owed the Lopunny, after all, not her brother.

Divandra wasn't ready to forgive her, and anyone who knew Divandra, wouldn't exprect any less. She turned her head, exhaling from her nose with a cry of her name. Grayson sighed. "There's no use trying to talk to her at the moment, Kade. She's having a meltdown." Gray mentioned leaning back against the bench. "She'll get over it...in about six months." He joked, crossing one leg over the other. His eyes were on her as she released her Natu, Ice Blue eyes resting upon the bird Pokemon. He was pretty sure that she only had Lilac when she had left, but of course she had gained more Pokemon since leaving. "Don't I know it?" He asked her simply when she mentioned Pokemon doing as they would. He was only around Pokemon 24/7. Sometimes, they drove him crazy. But, it was worth it in the end, to see them thriving as they were. He paused for a moment when he mentioned missing her. Yes... "I missed you too." He responded simply, glancing to his side at Riddle, who stared back at him as he reached out to clean her face of her Ice Cream feast with a cloth. "I see. It's good you've been getting out more though. It's better you're out there traveling and learning, isn't it?" He asked. "I get enough traveling done in the work I do." When she asked about his sanctuary, he shrugged. "It's been alright. We've had a flood of injured Pokemon come in recently though, so we've been rehabilitating them." He mentioned, remembering how they had been there for two days straight with barely a nights sleep. "Perhaps, you could come and spend a month with me...of course, you'd have to be ready to sacrifice a few days of sleep at times." He mentioned. He was only half joking. When she set the Vulpix down in his lap, almost on an impulse, he began to pet it, gently moving his hand across its sleek fur. He loved Pokemon, so his sister setting random ones on him didn't really bug him. It did seem like maybe it needed a fresh combing though. While she was getting Ice Cream, Gespacho appeared from his Pokeball. The Flareon glanced around. Oh, well, he had been meaning to show the Flareon-- His newest addition, to his sister anyway.

Kade was unsurprised that the Lopunny didn't forgive her.  That was the other reason she was buying a new ice cream confection for the Pokemon.  She understood a drama queen Pokemon.  She grinned at the Vulpix, still settled on the bench, at that thought.  She came back over and spread out the ice cream, placing the one the Fire Pokemon would share on the bench in a bowl she had grabbed.  Flame went for it right away, Embers looking at the Ponyta in frustration before whacking the horse Pokemon's snout.

Flame huffed and butted Embers lightly.  Lilac whacked at both of them, pretty much telling them to eat their dang ice cream and share like they usually did.  Thoroughly cowed, both Pokemon behaved and shared the ice cream with a fair amount of tolerance.

Lit gleefully chowed down on his ice cream, eating it almost as fast as the Furret had devoured his own.  With a hiccup that lit the flame on the top of his head briefly, he then floated over to Flame and settled on her.  The Ponyta just huffed in irritation, blowing some air on the Vulpix.  Embers whacked her to show how  much she disliked that behavior.

"I don't mind missing some sleep," Kade giggled, "Sometimes we run behind on getting to the next town or Pokecenter, and I can't get to sleep right away either.  I think my Pokemon will just appreciate the rest."

She paused.  "That's the one thing about travelling - you just keep going and going.  It gets really tiring."  The girl kneeled down by the newly-released Flareon, holding out a hand in greeting and then gently petting the creature.  Whiz got a bit jealous.

At that point, the ice cream was either eaten, in the process of being eaten, or forgotten.  Plenty of pickings for a Pokemon who wanted extra.  Lilac, however, was guarding Kade's ice cream as she ate her own, watching the other Pokemon - especially Riddle - cautiously.

"So, I guess that means I can stay at your sanctuary for a while?"  Kade looked up and grinned, picking up Embers since the ice cream was finished to look over the Vulpix's fur.  Whiz leaned forward on her shoulder, looking with her.  Never know when it might come in handy.
