Pearl felt nervous. Why would he need to be nervous anyway? He'd only be seeing his friends that he hadn't seen in awhile, so there was no reason for it. Maybe it was his constant lack of communication. That was only partially his fault, though he wanted to put most o the blame on his device. Oh well. He actually had managed to get a signal somewhere along the way and had decided it was time the three of them discussed the Knights' threat on Sinnoh. While it was the more peaceful of the regions currently, that could only mean that something big was going to happen. So Pearl had left messages for both Platinum and Dia that they should meet at Dia's lake, Lake Verity, and get back together again. It was a short, somewhat awkward, message but good enough by Pearl's standards.
He wanted to visit Twinleaf Town briefly before the trio would meet again. It was mostly the reason why he had picked Dia's lake. Pearl hadn't really waited for a response from either of them, he was impatient to get to the lake and see his friends again. He hadn't thought that they might be busy or something would be going on. It finally dawned on him when he finally arrived at the lake that the two might not even show up if they were busy. Maybe that was why he was nervous. He tugged briefly at his green muffler, sitting on the grass to look out onto the lakeside. He was just being silly. If he knew his friends, they'd show up and Dia would hold his goofy grin like always and the Little Miss would be as proper as ever.
Pearl gave a deep sigh, leaning against Saruhiko while Torahiko curled himself around the two. Even Perahiko was perched in a nearby tree, ruffling his feathers slightly. The past two weeks had just been him and his Pokemon, though he had visited a few familiar faces like Mr. Rickshaw and Dr. Footstep. Travelling Sinnoh was fun, but it seemed much lonelier without Dia and Platinum this time around. Their adventure seemed like ages ago, but Pearl still missed it. He leaned back against Torahiko's back and stared out into the lake. Hopefully they both would show up soon. He was starting to feel a bit restless.

Platinum was busy, that was true, but since Pearl's return and since their decision to fight against the Knights of Arceus, she was always willing to make time for her friends. There was never any guarantee that there was going to be a tomorrow with the environment the way it was and Pearl's message to meet at Lake Verity was one of the opportunities she was not going to pass up.
The heiress and company-controller had alerted her father to the important meeting and he had taken the reigns for her, as he was still quite capable of doing. She had packed up her Pokemon and had made her way out. On the back of her lifelong companion and easy ride, the young woman galloped her way to the lake nearest to Pearl and Diamond's hometown, equally enjoying the fact that she was riding to the meeting she would be having at the end.
"Good boy," Platinum cooed as she dismounted the Rapidash when she neared the shoreline. She loved to ride along the shore, but she knew she would cause somewhat of a ruckus were she and her pony Pokemon to start kicking up sand everywhere. Guiding him along by his reigns, she spotted a blond head not too far off. With a warm smile that was reserved for her two closest friends, she approached with a nod.
"Pearl. I did not expect to have beaten Diamond here, but of course you are first." He was always faster than the other two thirds of the trio and it was part of the reason Platinum cared so much for him. It was an interesting and different trait he held.
"This is a very nostalgic place to hold a meeting. I think you have selected a perfect location." She smiled. It was also a place of emotion, which was perfect for the depth of attachment they would have to have in order to protect Sinnoh the way they wanted to. They would have to put their hearts and souls into this mission. But for now, she would be happy to wait.
Turning to the horse Pokemon, Platinum gently stroked his neck. "You ought to go graze. Thank you for carrying me safely here." She muttered into his ear and he moved over underneath the tree Perahiko was perched beneath, beginning to graze calmly on the grass below.
"I'll be back later, Mom!" Dia yelled before catching one last glimpse of his dear mother waving at him with a smile. The boy then closed the door behind him, taking a deep breath before breaking out into an excited run.
At last, Pearl finally contacted him, and Dia couldn't be anymore happier and relieved. He got back to Twinleaf as soon as he could, but did not go directly to Lake Verity. Instead, he stopped by his house first not only to see his mother again, but also to take a very special friend from his home with him to the lake.
Dia could definitely feel that Rom was excited to see Pearl again too. The Rotom was currently possessing Dia's Proteinman Omega robot, and perched and sitting on his shoulder. During the events with Charon, it was not only him that the plasma Pokemon formed a bond with.
Running as fast as he could (which, by Dia standards, wasn't exactly "fast"), Lake Verity, "his" lake, soon came in sight. It was not even longer before he spotted the two people he wanted to see the most.
"Miss Platinum!" He called out, running even "faster" toward them. "Peeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrlllllllllllll!!!!!!!!" The robot was now clinging to his shoulder. He tackled his first best friend and then hugged him tightly. And despite his age now, Dia still blubbered out like a kid with happy tears. "I missed you!!!"
Pearl stretched out his arms behind him before swinging them down. He was already tempted to try and start practicing some new moves his Pokemon had been working on in the meantime. He wasn't used to relaxing this much anyway. He was about to get up until he saw a familiar face; the face of Platinum and her Rapidash. He couldn't help, but return the smile while Torahiko and Saruhiko both seemed to relax in her arrival. Pearl shifted himself to stand to greet his friend once she approached, already feeling his anxiousness melt away.
"You know Dia, he always was the last to wake up anyway." Pearl laughed a little. That was just how it always was, and no wonder it was no different now when they were older. Pearl was always first to wake up, then Platinum would arrive and finally Dia. Seemed fitting at least. He blinked at Platinum's comment, causing him to look out onto the lake again. Perahiko fluttered his wings and flapped himself on a lower branch near Platinum's Rapidash.
"Perfect location! Perfect location!" The Chatot screeched as he fluttered his wings. Pearl ignored his chanting bird Pokemon, shrugging to himself a little at her comment. It was a nostalgic place, that was certain. Pearl had definitely missed Twinleaf Town, especially the memories behind it as well. It was the place of emotion. Though it was best not to get all choked up now.
"Hey, I just figured it'd be easier to meet here than in some dark alleyway." Pearl joked, "Besides, I wanted to visit home. It's been awhile since I've been back here anywa-" He paused in mid-sentence at the sound of someone's voice yelling his and the Little Miss' names. When he looked for the source, it was no wonder he could guess who exactly it was. He could see Dia running as fast as he could, though it wasn't that fast mind you, towards the two. Relief washed over Pearl almost as if one of the tiny waves in the lake had hit him full force. He hadn't seen Dia, no Diamond, in what seemed like ages. He hadn't even realized he'd been tackled to the ground until he felt himself hit the ground.
He was stunned for a moment, though Dia's blubbering brought him back from whatever it was. Same old Dia. Pearl attempted to hug his first, best friend though he could really unlock one of his arms from the other's grip to give him a few pats on the back before smiling.
"D-Dia! No, Diamond!" Pearl almost thought he was going to start crying like a little kid or start to suffocate from his grip, "I m-missed you too!

"He must need extra sleep in order to be the best he can be." Was the heiress' reasoning for the fact that of the three, Diamond was often the last to rise. More often than not, in fact. But they each had their role to play, they were all different in their own ways. But that was part of what made their friendship special.
If Platinum was away as much as Pearl had been, she was sure she too would get homesick for her favourite places and the ones where she grew up. She was also pleased that their meeting wasn't taking place in a dark alley, as with everything that had been going on, that could be quite suspicious and they were heroes, not villains.
Platina looked up from her blond friend at the sound of her name, and folded her hands against her legs as her 'bodyguards' were reunited. Hard as she might have tried, the dark-haired girl couldn't keep the smile off her face, nor the soft laughter from her lips. She chuckled quite quietly, the soft sounds airy and amused as she waited for the pair to get off the floor.
"A good reason why friends should not be apart. It can be hazardous to their health." She murmured, relaxing somewhat. From within her bag, she heard the familiar trio of beeps that alerted the three that their pokedexes were all close by. Yes, this was good. Very good indeed. She was comfortable, happy, because she was with her friends.
Too overjoyed to take note of their beeping Pokedexes, Dia let the relief and delight of the moment wash over him, making his body feel so light.
A big smile on his face despite the tears in his eyes, Dia said, "Mm-hmm! I'm glad you're safe and okay!" He turned his head behind him as he added, "Oh, he's happy to see you too!"
At their questioning glances, the robot that was clinging to him stood up... and then let out a small jolt that comically electrified Dia and Pearl. After that, the plasma Pokemon Rotom emerged from the robot with a wide grin, and then hovered and circled around Pearl's head in delight.
Dia let out a laugh at his friend's antics.
Yes, being reunited with his best friends was the greatest.
The blonde was finally released by Dia's grip, he shifted himself so he could at least sit upright. He was relieved that they were finally all back together, especially at one of 'their' lakes. He heard Platinum's words, making him laugh a little. It was true in some sense at least. He almost didn't notice their Pokedexes beeping. At Dia's mention of the other person, he did look over questioningly at the robot toy. Pearl knew it was Dia's robot toy, but he didn't really think much of it. He opened his mouth to say something before being shocked by the small toy.
Torahiko and Saruhiko each perked up at the sign of their trainer being zapped before the plasma Pokemon revealed itself. The two Pokemon relaxed, though they did seem happy to see the other Pokemon. Once Pearl recovered from the initial zapping, he looked up at the Ghost-Electric type. He followed it as it swirled around his head and smiled.
"Rom! It's been awhile!" Pearl grinned at the Pokemon. It had been awhile since their time together, especially when they first met the Pokemon back at the Old Chateau. It had been a long time since then, but Pearl could still remember it clearly. Either way, it felt like they were all reunited. Pearl was happy to see his friends again indefinitely, but he had to focus on why they had gathered together. It was half of the reason he had called them together. The other was because he missed his friends, but he could tell that his friends had missed him too. He stood up finally and brushed himself off before coughing into his hand.
"Anyway, you know I called you both here," Pearl began, "It's good to see you both, but we've got some things to discuss. More importantly, the Knights problem." His face grew serious at the mention of them. As much as he didn't want to ruin their reunion it was an important matter that they had to work out. They had saved Sinnoh once, but it was in danger again.

{ sorry this took so long guys D: I was so swamped by work }
Platinum stood on, watching her friends with a more abashed but warm appreciation for their enthusiasm. She was definitely not the type to tackle a friend, but she was pleased to see that Diamond hadn't lost his zeal for life, and their friendship still shone like a star when they were together. She folded her hands and smiled at the Pokemon and Dex Holders in front of her. They truly warmed her heart, and she let them get to their feet as she stood back. "What a wonderful reunion. I do not think many people would tackle their best friend to the ground, but that does make it very particular to the pair of you." She teased softly, before knowing that there was definitely something more important about their meeting.
With another stern nod, she straightened her stance and kept her lips pursed in concentration. "We all have the same goal and idea, from what I have gathered from each of you." She said softly, once Pearl had finished. "The issue with the Knights is that they are beginning to gather people who believe in their goal. They wish to overthrow the Leagues, and though I can see the merit in one government I cannot see the merit in their vicious and cruel ways. All they would do is torture and maim to get their own way. But others cannot see that side of the final picture." She looked between them.
"We all believe in gathering those who have fought beside us. I have already begun the steps of contacting some of our seniors and juniors. We are all behind the idea of working toward the overthrowing of the Knights... Unfortunately I have nothing more to report, but I will continue contacting and attempting to coerce others to our own cause. Dark hair was flicked over her shoulder, and the golden, metallic eyes she possessed shone brightly with determination. Her position in her chain of hotels was not important until she and the others had done their work against the Knights.
As a dex holder, and a heroine, that was what she believed entirely.
