The Dreamyard was a pretty fun place to explore, it was essentially a large ruin with several hidden possibilities. Such a place also contained nice secret places to train, things that people wouldn't be able to find normally, and those who did manage to find the openings to such secretive places were more than likely tough trainers. Something like that was why Black decided to hang out here, an it had slowly become on of the more frequent places for him to visit. The wild Munna, too, seemed to come in good company; similar to his Musha when he first met the psychic dream-eater pokemon.
Black casually sat with his legs dangling over one of the broken floors of the ruins, having found his way up to the second floor. Brav and Musha were currently the ones outside with him right now, due to their ability of flight. One of them, should the need arise, would be able to help the trainer down off the platform he was sitting on and get him to ground safely. What was on his mind currently, was training his team. He could either go find himself a trainer to fight, or get them to train against themselves, or go fight some of the wild Munna. Right now, the options he was debating between the most in his head were having a "play fight" with his own pokemon against eachother, or finding a trainer. | WORDS: 239 TAGS: Hugh Treasach NOTES: Because they're in the Dreamyard, get it? *cricket chirps* /shot/ Anyways, I hope he's in character. What had brought him to the Dreamyard, again? Oh, right… the search for answers. The search for anything he could find that would help him learn more about the Knights of Arceus. Hugh’s eyes narrowed and the spiky-haired teen let out a sigh, red eyes staring wistfully toward the treetops to the sunset. Albeit pleasing to the eye, the Dreamyard as a whole was relatively uninteresting to the Dex Holder.
Placing his hands upon the stone ground, Hugh pulled himself upward to ground-level, through the opening of apparently collapsed stone in the earth that had been degrading for however long. Without wasting barely a moment to catch his breath, he stood, dusting himself off before looking around. Hmn? His attention was instantly seized at the sight of two pokemon. One wasn’t exactly an odd sight for the place, a Musharna, but the other, a Braviary was. Only then did the spiky-haired boy’s eyes travel to the silhouetted figure smaller than the both of them from his angle.
Perfect... A near-feral grin split his lips and the boy tore through the grass quickly – careful to avoid any pokemon – and up the breaking stone stairs that would lead to the other. He slows to a walk as he reaches the top. ”Hey, you.” It wasn’t as if Hugh knew the other’s name – not to mention with the sun facing him, it was hard to make out any kind of feature on their face. ”You’re a trainer, right? Battle me.”
As if to emphasize his words, he tore a pokeball from his belt and tosses it up before his face before catching it once more in his hand. Today had been moving far too slow as a whole for Hugh’s liking.

Black turned his head to face the owner of a sudden shout, his eyes locking with the other's as he carefully made his way to stand up without falling down. He had barely noticed the other climb up here, but nevertheless it was as if lady luck had planted his answer right in front of his face. "Yes, I am." Black answered the other boy's question firmly. The only thing Black was capable of making out of the other was their gender, and that they also had spiky hair that was a lot more wilder than his own.
Following up his response, the teen quickly recalled Brav and Musha, placing their pokeballs on the respective spots on his belt buckle before pulling out another pokeball. The metallic sphere sparkled in the sunlight as he held it. "If it's a battle you want, it's a battle you'll get." Black then proceeded to release the pokemon held by the pokeball without so much as a second thought, as a giant yellow taranchula-like creature popped out.
"Come on out, Tula!" As Tula, a Galvantula, emerged from the pokeball he let out a loud battle cry just as pumped as his trainer to get the show on the road. They had fought alongside eachother for years now, and as good as a team they became there was always room to grow stronger. | WORDS: ----TAGS: Hugh Treasach NOTES: Sorry this is so late, and short too. The shortness is because it's late at night. ;-; I also hope he's in character. CREDIT: LAIKA OF GS! |

”Heh…” the laugh was harsh, matching the grin on his face. They’d accepted, and they’d get a battle, no matter if they were prepared from the start or not. ”I was hoping you’d say something like that, man.” Half-gloved fingers clicked down over the button on the face of the pokeball, expanding the object against his palm as his new opponent sent out a partner of his own to open the battle. Galvantula. Electric- and Bug-type. Perfect. The grin faded to a smirk as he stared at the spider, and he tossed up his own pokeball.
It was generally a safe bet for him to open with the pokemon revealed now, light taking shape of a Dragon native to the Hoenn region before unveiling its full form. The Flygon hovered above the ground now, tri-fingered hands cocked as though ready to box something that came too close, eyes narrowed behind their protective lenses. ”Havilah, open this with a Dragon Claw!”
Obliging, the claws on the Flygon’s hands glowed light blue. Her muscled tail slapped against the rocky formation before zipping between the two trainers, covering the distance between she and the opponent quickly, before arcing downward and lowering her arms, aiming to rake against the Galvantula’s back.
