Gentle and soft, the wind carried a lingering smell of smoke. The smoldering embers of a put-out fire were before her and she gazed at them, a glassy look in her blue eyes. Her thoughts were clouding her mind and one name seemed to linger longer than the others. Black. She hadn't seen him a while, not since she'd left for the Battle Subway. Was he still around Unova? Was he still...? She was unable to even finish the thought, for she knew she'd have a breakdown. He was a close friend and to think of him as anything but alive caused her nerves to flare up. The brunette adjusted her hat and glanced around, her gaze broken from the burnt out fire. Amanda, her Serperior, was coiled up around her in a protective manner and she smiled gently. Ever since the N incident, the grass type had been very keen on making sure she was safe. Her other Pokemon had caught onto her cause with ease and she had never felt so safe in her life than she did with them by her side. A noise caused her to shift uneasily and the movement caught Amanda's attention. Drawing up straighter, she locked eyes with the grass type. "I'm sure it's nothing," Her voice seemed to be reassuring to Amanda, for she gently nodded and resumed her curled up position. If White was being completely honest, she knew the noise wasn't just nothing. It was something and frankly, she was slightly nervous about it, but she didn't want to worry Amanda. Her tiffany blue eyes zeroed in on the direction of the noise and her movements were slow as she reached for a piece of gum. It was probably just a Zorua trying to play games with her. She popped the piece in her mouth and began to chew, a slight calm falling over her. The rhythmic pattern of her chewing was enough to settle any negative feelings that were lingering in her at the moment. A soft sigh escaped her and her tense body visibly relaxed. She shouldn't be worried or tense, for there was nothing to be nervous about. Leaning back against the warm body of Amanda, she closed her eyes and began to gently hum. She was going to be alright and there was going to be no panic attacks. At least, she believed that to be the case. She didn't know what was lurking around her, or who to be exact. The thought hadn't crossed her mind and so her guard was down as she relaxed in front of the makeshift fire-pit, humming her worries away. ooc. First post with her in a little while, so please excuse the terrible quality c: This is open~ |
