It was in Platinum's nature to want to know what was going on and the attacks all over Pokearth were no exception. As soon as she'd become a pokedex holder, as soon as she'd taken on the burden of protecting the world from the forces of evil she knew she would have to investigate, would have to use her mind to figure out vicious attacks and other such problems. She knew it was in her job description now too. She wanted to fix things because she needed too. All in all in terms of a job helping deal with bad guys was really one of the top. She did love the work and she loved it when they won. Winning was excellent.
Her eyes danced between colours as she stood amongst the wreckage of Aspertia City. It had once been a thriving metropolis. A few of the pokedex holders had even begun their journeys there, born and raised in the small town. It meant that no one's home was safe. Littleroot too, all of those places could be the home of people.. some were the home of pokedex holders. She only prayed that her home was protected and that the pokemon that guarded her mansion would continue to do so.
Lips curled downwards in a frown as she walked through the rubble of one of the buildings, listening to her feet crunch the bricks. It was incredible to know that weather patterns had been the cause of this horrid mess. It was as if the world could take hold and shake everyone's entire lives up.
Platinum fixed her scarf as she bent to pick up a brick. Someday they would be able to rebuild Aspertia. Someday they would take it back so that people could return to their homes. To the places that belonged to them.

After the destruction of Asperatia City, Shauntal became increasingly worried about freak weather conditions of other cities in not only Unova, but in the other regions as well. There was no doubt that this issue would be raised with the leagues all around Pokearth. They could only hope that no more extreme weather would occur.
Shauntal had a sinking feeling that it was caused by the Kami trio. Tornadus and Thundurus were known for being able to cause untold damage with their control over gales and thunderstorms. Her mind recalled the pokeballs thrown at the Kami Trio when she encountered them on the Battle Subway alongside White. Was it possible that someone caught them? That thought scared Shauntal.
Shauntal floated to what once was Asperatia City on Beatrice, her eyes scanning the environment as she witnessed the devastation. Her mouth formed a sad frown as she got to fully take in the extent of the destruction. It shocked her to the point where she just sat on Beatrice as she got to see for herself just how badly Asperatia was destroyed. It was almost impossible to imagine the once bright and bustling town was now just piles of bricks and wood, unrecognizable to anyone.
As she drew closer, she noticed a solitary figure investigating the ruins. She didn’t seem to pose a threat and was more preoccupied with looking around and inspecting the destroyed remains of the once beautiful city of Asperatia. At this, Shauntal raised an eyebrow. She was curious as to why this young woman was here, hoping her motives were for good rather than evil.
”Beatrice, can you bring me down?” Shauntal asked her Drifblim, who then responded by drifting her down to the ground, behind the woman who investigated the ruins.
Once she landed, she lightly jumped off her Drifblim, stroking it quickly before returning her to her pokeball. Putting the pokeball away, she looked at the woman, who seemed to be a trainer owing to the fact she had pokeballs with her. She brushed some hair that got in her eyes during the flight before speaking.
”It’s such a travesty, isn’t it?” She asked the trainer, trying to draw her attention before walking up next to her, the sound of bricks crunching beneath her as she moved. With each step she took, it only reinforced the damage that was afflicted to this innocent town. Her eyes looked downcast as she faced the trainer.
”So what brings you to Asperatia City? There’s not much left here right now. Rebuilding probably won’t be starting anytime soon, especially due to the ever-present danger of harsh weather still looming.” Shauntal questioned as she took another look around, surveying the degree of destruction before her.[/style][/style]

Platinum couldn't honestly say that she'd been expecting anyone to drop in (literally, since Shauntal had descended straight from out of the sky on a Drifblim for her arrival) whilst she was researching and gathering data amongst the ruins of the once peaceful, quiet but still populated city of Aspertia. It wasn't as high on the agendas of the league as some of the other cities, she should had excpected to be left mostly to her own devices. Platina looked up at the voice that stated the extent of the travesty. The voice was formal enough, which informed her that it was unlikely her fellow investigator was one of the instigators of the attack. Plat puckered her lips in thought for a brief moment before glancing directly at Shauntal. The recognition was instantaneous and the young and aspiring researcher nodded in a formal greeting. "You are right, of course. It is a horrendous crime. I have seen damage like this in three regions personally and have heard first hand what it is like in the others. Everywhere has been affected thus. I cannot but help to wonder how the weather patterns became so suddenly erratic."
Dark hair was swept back from her face to behind her shoulders with a gentle toss of her head - every bit as regal as a princess as she did so - and stood, brushing the rubble off her hands in the process.
Seriousness lined the young woman's face as she looked out and over the ruins of the city. Platinum took her time to consider her response before answering, and her voice was low and respectful when it finally spilled through her lips. "Miss Shauntal of the Unovan Elite Four. I am Platinum Berlitz, Pokedex Holder of Sinnoh and an assistant researcher to the professor in residence there, Rowan. My family is sponsoring a number of rebuilds with the profits from our hotel chain. We are looking at the damage for that reason, mostly." She stated, a practiced and sure line.
After all, it was much smarter to be honest.
Her lips folded into a straight line. "What brings you to the horror of this place?"
[STYLE=width: 300px; border-left: 6px solid #800080; background-color: transparent; margin-left: -5px;][STYLE=padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px; font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; text-align: justify;]Shauntal adjusted her glasses, her eyes never straying from Platinum’s face as she explained how she had witnessed this destruction within 3 other regions. She already knew of this, owing to the close communication between the many leagues of pokearth, yet hearing her talk about it set her heart at unease. After all, the loss of many a home was not something to be taken lightly.
”Ah, it is as I feared…” Shuantal said quietly to herself, her eyes shifting downwards as let her thoughts consume her for a moment. Discussion about the weather patterns had occurred between the leagues but as of right now, it was not of extreme importance. While terrible, it could be attributed to random changes. However, Shauntal doubted that.
As the woman introduced herself, Shauntal couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows briefly in surprise as she stated that she was another pokedex holder. She remembered White and how she had a pokedex as well. She instinctively made the connection between the two of them and possibly wondered if they should meet each other. It might prove handy, for both of them.
”Well Platinum, I really must thank your father then. His wealth will most certainly come in handy, especially in troubling times such as these.” Shauntal gratefully stated, giving her a thankful smile for her actions. It was then that she asked why she was here.
”Since you were honest with me, I might as well be honest with you. After all, I have nothing to hide.” Shauntal began, her face once again morphing back into that of sternness, regarding Platinum as a trustworthy person. As she was given a pokedex, she really had no reason for not trusting her.
”The leagues have been in discussion about the weather patterns. As you probably know, they have been erratic and unusual, causing untold damage on many a city, as we can see here. In Unova alone, Asperatia City, Stration City, Icirrus City, Lacunosa Town and Black City have all been hit by severe storms. While as of right now the league are safe to assume that it was just pure chance, I have my doubts.” Shauntal explained to Platinum, grimacing as she recounted her reasons for being here.
”I came to Asperatia City because it started here. The first storm in Unova was reported to occur in this very city. Of course I had to investigate. I feel, no, I know there is something more to those weather storms, and I have a feeling I know what caused them, but I can’t be sure.” Shauntal continued to inform Platinum, picking up one of the bricks on the floor and examining it. After a while, she turned to face Platinum again.
”You are an assistant to a pokemon researcher, no?” Shauntal asked her rhetorically, already knowing her answer due to her introduction.
”I assume you may be aware of the legendary pokemon that inhabit pokearth. There is a particular trio of legendaries that I am interested in. I assumed you have heard about the Kami trio, have you not?” Shauntal asked Platinum thoughtfully, an intrigued look on her face as she waited for an answer.[/style][/style]

It was a good thing that the leagues communicated with one another, if you asked her. She was certainly glad to hear when they had. Platinum had already known this - her association with Cynthia certainly meant she had quite the connection with the Pokemon League, as well as a friendship with Caitlin that had lasted quite some years due to the simple fact that they were both high-society born. "There is no need to thank him, we are doing it because it is necessary for those of us with the ability to help. We would request anyone who had the same ability lend their funding to the cause. It is important to be a person." She looked her over, before nodding a few times.
The stern look barely phased Platinum. Shauntal may have been trying to portray a certain personality. She nodded to her - glad of the honesty. Platinum never understood concealing plans or personal needs. All it did was create havoc where havoc was unnecessary and miscommunication where it would be easy enough to just come out honestly. "I had expected that the leagues would be in communication with one another, there has been a great amount of damage. If my predictions are correct, which they may or may not be, I expect the next storm to come on Sinnoh. It has yet to have the amount of storms that the other regions have faced," she breathed out slowly, stretching her leg.
"I believe you are correct in the assumption that it is not pure chance. It seems far too sinister to me in my dealings with criminal organisations. The storms are in quite poined locations and they are random ina strange way. Almost too random, if you were to ask me." The heiress met Shauntal's eyes fiercely, barely blinking as she nodded. "Yes, I work beneath Professor Rowan," She nodded, before tilting her head to the side and thinking. Yes, she had heard of the Kami trio. She had heard of them quite a few times.
"You believe that they are the cause of the storms? That is concerning. But it would be not quite as concerning as if they had Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza, who each cause untold amounts of damage to the regions they appear in." The assistant said aloud, dark hair falling around her face. "Perhaps we should be greatful the world has not yet faced the possibility of a great flood or drought, though their resting places should perhaps be checked on." Plat brushed her hair out of her face. "Is there anyone you can contact in the league in order to be certain they remain dormant?"
[OOC; sorry for this post, I was really struggling with it for some reason.]
