The sun was at its highest peak, the warm rays radiating from the condensed ball of gas devoured the lush green valley-side in complete warmth. The gentle kiss of mother nature embraced the trees, grass, fruit, and Pokemon that roamed this region; everything felt relatively peaceful and serene. Abandon enjoyed this serene feeling with his eyes closed and riding on one of his most trusted companions; the legendary fire demon Arcanine. The golden hue'd boy laid across the rather large canine like Pokemon; his entire body stretched out across the back of the creature like it was some type of bed. This however didn't hinder the Pokemon's movement; not even in the slightest. Arcanine merely continued to move forward; her dog like tendencies getting the better of her. Extended tongue and the sudden urge to get the scent of everything she passed. This did nothing to Abandon; if anything the lazy male didn't even notice it. He merely remained on his back, closed eyes, and humming a rather catchy tone he heard over the radio a few days ago. After a few minutes of this, Abandon opened one eye and exhaled the mightiest of yawns. the yawn was so sudden and abrupt, the sheer force of it caused a few wild bird pokemon to take to the skies.
"Sh*t. What are we gonna do? Pretty boring today, huh?"
Arcanine barked in agreement; the pitch powerful and caring. Abandon chuckled at this and lazily sunk deeper into the Pokemon's extremely soft and comfortable fur. Where they to travel the valley-side for the remainder of the day? Arcanine probably didn't mine; she rather enjoyed lush grass and forest regions. but Abandon on the other hand wanted something more "exciting". Even though, if this made Arcanine happy, who was he to take this away from her? He could always just sleep the day away while she enjoyed herself in the motherly embrace of nature. So honestly it was one of those "win/win" situation. Exhaling a rather lazy yawn, Abandon glared up at the sun and spoke a few more words to his companion.
"Just keep doing what you're doing, girl. We'll find something entertaining sooner or later. And if we don't? F*ck it, I'll just sleep..."
The demon barked in understanding and continued to press forward. Life was good! [/style]

There wasn’t much to be said for days like this. It was warm out, but not hot, so he couldn’t exactly complain… though he much preferred cold temperatures. He’d grown up knee-deep in snow at all times, after all. The snow and chill soothed his skin, and the warm only made him sweat.
Pasha yawned into the back of his hand, scratching at his jaw as he walked along the path. Yulian, his Zangoose, walked alongside him on all fours, his long claws scratching at the dirt and leaving trails behind them as they moved. Bored would have been a better word to describe his current mood with. There was nothing to do around these parts while he got from one town to another, aside from maybe sending his Zangoose off into the bushes to catch them dinner. But dinner was a far way off, so he put that off for the time being.
There had to be something around here, right? Travelling usually didn’t bore him as it did today; maybe the mix of the weather, and the utter silence of the valley. Nice and green, but otherwise void of anything that he could’ve watched. Not even bird Pokemon chirped up in the trees, and he usually liked listening to that.
Speaking of which, Yulian’s ears suddenly perked, more so than usual. The white and red Pokemon reared onto his two hind legs, sniffing the air before his lips pulled back in a faint, noiseless snarl up the path. Now, who could that possibly be? Pasha paused in his steps, watching as well.
Don’t mind me, just herping my derp.

Arcanine continued on with her canine like mannerisms; catching the scent of every piece of organic life and barking happily at passing wild Pokemon. The constant movement of the female Pokemon did nothing to Abandon; he actually found it quite soothing. This probably due to the fact as an Growlithe, Okami loved to snuggle and sleep with Abandon. So it's only natural that he grows accustom to such frantic Pokemon like activity. Also given the fact Okami is his traveling bed, Abandon has no means to complain even if he wanted too. The demon swiftly weaved in and out of the maze of trees with graceful movements; her sharp Canine claws giving her perfect grip and control over momentum. Yet, through all this, Abandon didn't move one inch from his spot upon her back; this was the true meaning of control if one ever existed.
Suddenly, the Canine arose from the maze of trees with an erupting leap; a leap so graceful, one could've sworn the Pokemon had intentions on reaching the heavens. With her body slowly descending down to the main dusty path, her playful; yet powerful crimson gaze landed upon the Zangoose and its human. Instinctively, Arcanine took one abrupt leap backwards. This leap so sudden and out of the Pokemon's nature, she forgot Abandon was even on her back, fast asleep and without a single care in the world. As she collided with the dusty pavement, the golden eyed male swiftly rolled off her back and landed face first within the sand riddled pavement. Instantly, the canine began whimpering as it nuzzled Abandon with her nose in a sorry manner. Rolling over on his back, Abandon slowly opened one eye and looked at Arcanine with a confused looked etched across his face. The pokemon stuck her backside up in the air; her massive pure white tale frantically wagging from left to right as the sorrowful whimpers showed no sign of ceasing anytime soon.
"Yesh, I get it, you're sorry. How can I even be mad with a face like that?"
The male said; his hands rubbing behind the ears of the Arcanine as he chuckled wholeheartedly at the situation. After a few moments of this, Abandon arose to his feet; his hands knocking away any trace of dust and sand upon his outfit, face, and hair. The Arcanine looked directly ahead at the reason of the sudden leap and produced a friendly bark; the echo created traveling miles. Abandon looked up and noticed the Pokemon and human duo. And based off Arcanine's bark it wasn't hard to figure out this was the cause of him rolling off her back and waking up from one of his lovely naps. Exhaling a monstrous yawn and looking at the mysterious stranger with lazy eyes, the boy spoke a few words while leaning against the Arcanine.
"Sorry if she startled you; shes really just a big ole' softy. But ain't that what every owner of a big dog says?"
The canine Pokemon barked again; her tail still wagging swiftly from side to side.[/style]

Silence. No birds, no breeze, no steady step to keep Pasha’s mind occupied as they both stood there on the road and waited for what seemed to be coming. His Zangoose could smell it, almost. Fire. He could smell fire. Not the regular kind, mind you, that burned up trees and dried out dirt. It was the sort that came from a fire type, something that he’d encountered quite a few times in the past.
Pasha was waiting alongside Yulian, which probably was why he didn’t bat a single eyelash when a red, furry blaze came thundering out of the tree line and right at them. His shoulders went up, however, going tense as whoever the rider was seemed to be thrown off. How eventful, the whole thing suddenly holding more action than he’d hoped for. Still, he didn’t think he minded very much.
Arcanine. Huh, he hadn’t seen one of those in a while. Still, though Pasha seemed utterly unbothered, Yulian’s ears went back with a hiss, bearing his teeth and extending his claws. He didn’t like things that moved so suddenly, even if he was quick himself.
”Hush, Yulian.” And the white and red Pokemon backed down, but only a little. His fur still bristled and he still glared, but otherwise, the snarling stopped.
”It’s not a problem.” Towards the man this time; no smile, just a faint politeness. The Arcanine itself seemed to be an overgrown puppy, as far as he was concerned. ”Apologies, if we’ve startled you or your Arcanine in any way.”
The duo glanced over at the red and white rodent; it's hostile battle ready stance giving off the clear indication it was ready to attack at any given moment. Arcanine paid the hostile nature no mind; she merely continued to mimic her trainers mannerisms the entire time; and that was remaining calm and collected. Abandon noticed this and stroked the fuzzy head of the Arcanine with tender love and care. While these actions took place, the stranger before him spoke; making his peace encase he did so happen to startle Abandon or Arcanine. Honestly, Abandon was fast asleep, so he had no idea another human was within the area. But the Arcanine on the other hand, she doesn't take kindly to sudden appearances like that. This doesn't mean she was startled; not even close. The demon just made it her sole purpose to protect Abandon at any cost, and she didn't know if this stranger and his Pokemon were friend or foe. Chuckling at the males words, the golden eyed boy fixed his vision back upon the fire dog and spoke.
"Hear that? He made his peace, you cool with that, girl?"
She looked at Abandon with her typical puppy dog eyes, licked his cheek a few times and released an wholehearted bark. Fixing his gaze back upon the stranger with a toothy grin, the boy spoke yet again.
"Looks like she accepts. But don't worry about it; no harm no foul, right? Still, I wonder. What brings you out in the middle of nowhere? Seems more then just an afternoon stroll to me."[/style]

In honest simplicity, Pasha wouldn’t have minded at all to be on his way. His destination was still quite a ways ahead, and it was unlikely that he’d actually make it there by dark. Likely, he’d be there by sunset of the next day, if he rose with the sun and walked as late as possible. Not impossible; he was used to such strenuous work anyway.
With all that in mind, and Yulian growing slowly restless behind him, Pasha was just about to tip his hat and bade his farewell when the man spoke up. Small walk wasn’t exactly uncommon in these parts, but unlike a lot of the folk, he himself wasn’t too partial to it. He was especially irritated by those who asked for a battle as soon as he walked across their line of sight. Mostly the younger ones; the children that thought they were at the top of the world. For Pasha, that may as well have been a lifetime ago.
”I’m heading out to Vermilion City.” He said simply. ”I need to catch a ship by tonight.” And, as he was concerned, his business in Snowpoint, his destination, was fairly important as well. He felt no need to talk about that one, though. A stroll wasn’t what he’d call it, sure; he had been walking fairly quickly.
Yulian continued to glare at the Arcanine, and then over to the other man. Distrustful was putting it lightly, but if Pasha seemed alright, he trusted his trainer’s intuitions.
"Vermilion, huh? Pretty long way from your destination, pal."
The golden eyed boy spoke; the tone of his voice casual as he continued to lean against his red and white canine like companion. Suddenly, another yawn left the plump lips of Abandon as his arms stretched verticallyover his head and eyes shut tightly closed as the gust of exhaustion left his very being. Then, out of the blue, one lone lingering thought crossed his mind. Why not challenge this male to a battle? Eh, that seemed like quite a lot of effort for something he really didn't feel like doing. Then why even suggest such things; sheer boredom? Yeah, that's probably it. Abandon stroked the fuzzy head of Arcanine a few more times before pushing himself off the dog. Upon doing this, the male took a few steps forward; hist steps lazy with the demon dog directly behind him watching his every step. Rotating the muscles in his neck with circular motions, Abandon eyed the fellow before him and spoke; his voice still the exact same.
"Today's rather boring, ain't it? We live to die, and there ain't sh*t we can do about it. Myself, I love to live life to the fullest; have fun whenever I can, get it? And what would be fun or at least slightly entertaining would be a battle between our Pokemon. So, what do you say, pal? Decline or accept, I really don't don't give a sh*t; just a suggestion."[/style]

Pasha had been alright with small talks overall, and he’d been pretty alright with the man up to the point that he called him ‘pal’. A spark of irritation lit in the back of his mind, but he told himself to pay no attention. The man was just casual, and if he chose to be so to a stranger, then fine. Still, some degree of wariness was always there, no matter who he happened to be around at the time. This stranger was no exception, no matter how laid back he seemed to be.
”I can hardly call it boring.” After all, he felt like he was trekking halfway across the world to get back to Snowpoint City. In many ways, he was; he needed to catch that boat before he could get anywhere. If anything, he’d have to go on quite a bit of a jog on the way, or have his Charizard fly him there on her back. Now that sounded convenient, didn’t it?
Pasha was usually a man for challenges, and it showed when he quirked an eyebrow at the suggestion. A glance down at his wrist told him that it was a little past noon, and if he didn’t make it to the boat on time, he’d be held up for a while more, and he had someone to meet. A small smirk that could have been lighthearted if not for the scars that seemed to crack his mouth like a porcelain doll’s.
”Well, if that would be a challenge, then I’ll accept.”
Abandon said in response to the older fellow in front of him. Slowly, the golden hue'd male turned to the fire canine behind him. Upon looking at the Arcanine, Abandon could see the burning passion for battle in her eyes. This sight alone brought a toothy grin to the face of Abandon; this Pokemon has nothing but respect, love, and dedication for her trainer. But before Abandon even had the chance to verbally acknowledge such feelings. One of the metal contraptions tucked away within the inside of his trench-coat began shaking violently. The Arcanine looked down at the general direction of the shaking and Abandon did the same. Exhaling a small gust of annoyance, the golden eyed boy opened the left side of his trench-coat. Soon afterwards a steady stream of red light erupted from the opened side and reviled a rather odd looking blue Pokemon. This creature standing at 4ft, eyes tightly closed, and little stubby arms held directly up to its odd zig-zagged shaped mouth. The Pokemon began leaning side to side as no sounds came from it. Suddenly, the odd blue creature began exhaling rather heavily; but this exhaling stylish turned into tongue clicks, mouth pops, and mouth manipulation techniques in order to create specific sounds. In other words, this Pokemon had the ability to Beat-Box, and rather well.
"Seems like Wobbuffet here wants first go. Hope you don't mind?"
Abandon spoke; as the stylish Beat-Boxing coming from the mouth of the Wobbuffet overtook the entire area. Arcanine barked once; the powerful sound directed at the Wobbuffet. The Beat-Boxing creature paid no mind to the fire dogs bark; it merely continued the popping of the mouth and clicking of the tongue. Abandon laughed a little at this display of miscommunication between the two Pokemon. But now wasn't the time to fret over such things. Wobbuffet stood in place; body still swaying as the beats continued to pour out of it. He was ready, focused, and itching for combat.[/style]
