There wasn't much helping it. He had been battling almost nonstop for the past week thanks to all the random trainers that had been coming around. It was his pledge though, never turn down a challenge...but it was beginning to wear him out. Even on a day like today when something important was happening. Yellow was coming to visit.
Pika ran back in forth in front of his trainer, doing everything he could think of to try to wake the sleeping champion up. Nothing worked. Red swatted at the little Pikachu a couple of times before rolling over to his other side to get a better feel for his bed. He had become a lot more comfortable on that mountain than he had originally thought that he would. A bit drafty, but he was used to it by now. He had found himself a nice little home in the side of the mountain in a small cave filled with furniture from his room and a couple other things that he may need on a daily basis. It was a nice little place he had in that little cave.
Tired of being ignored and swatted at, Pika sent a small little shock into his trainer making him bolt up almost immediately. "Ow! You didn't have to do that to get me up!" A sigh came from the young trainer as he tried to push himself up out of his bed. He was up now and there was no hope of making himself fall back asleep. He couldn't really decide if that was a good thing or not. Sure Yellow was coming, but...sleep. Red made himself get dressed and prepare himself for the visit from his good friend. He had missed her greatly. Being champion was great and all, but it was hard to deal with when his friends still got to go about their daily lives throughout Kanto without him. It was...lonely.
Ready for his visitor, Red walked out of the cave and stretched. He was ready. A smile crossed his lips as he looked out over the mountainside, not completely sure from which direction she would be coming from.

words;; 639 words. tagged;; soul and red. muse;; meh. notes;; woah, i totally didn't even notice this. but i posted, and that's all that matters! ^^ Climbing up dangerous, frigid mountains had never been one of Yellow's favorite passtimes. Of course, at a time like this, she couldn't really complain. Despite the fact that she'd never in a million years suggest a hike up the infamous Mt. Silver, she was doing it - all by her lonesome - at that particular moment. And why? If she hated it so much, she could have easily abandoned the idea, tossed it to the wind like throwing a crumpled up sheet of paper ot the garbage. But she could never, ever do anything like that to the person she'd promised to visit utop this very mountain. Red. He's told her to come visit during their last meeting, challenging her to brave the climb on her own - though, Crystal had offered a bit of assistance at first... - in order to pay him a visit. The date was set. The female prepared herself. And, so, there she was, making her way through snow and rock with nothing but multiple winter coats, a backpack full of supplies, and a fragile Pikachue that she was doing everything she could to keep safe from the low temperatures.
Many could have easily said that the blond had over prepared herself for this meeting. In all honesty, she had. This place was suseptable to blizzards, she'd been warned and, therefor, to counter such poor weather conditions, she'd made sure to pack extra clothing and bundled herself to a point it was a little difficult to move around. Ironically enough, the weather was... nice. Well, as nice as it would get in this sort of setting. The clouds drifted hazily through the sky, the sun peeking out every so often from behind them, regaining claim over the crystal clear heavens above. No small icicles drifted downward toward the ground that day. To say the very least, the pony-tailed female was feeling slightly embarrassed that she'd prepared for the worst only to be given the very best. She couldn't possibly bring herself to complain, however. She would be seeing her hero - her best friends, none the less - and the weather couldn't be more perfect. And, if she recalled, the raven-haired legend was supposed to have made his home somewhere around where she was approaching... right?
As the healer brought herself to a stop, examining the area and thinking to herself that, yes, this was where she was supposed to be, her companion, Chuchu, hopped out from the protection of her coat and began sniffing around the snow in search of the electric-type that belonged to the Champion himself. For a bit, there was nothing. No one. No indication that anyone was there. "Did I... get the wrong place...?" she wondered aloud, flinching at the idea that she could have been stranded on Mount Silver without any knowledge of where exactly she was and how to get back. However, a shout came from somewhere nearby - from the cave, maybe? - that sounded awfully familiar to her. "Ow! You didn't have to do that to get me up!" Sure enough, the mouse-like Pokemon by her feet perked immediately and, not long afterwards, the brown-eyed male stepped into the open, stretching as if not affected by the cold whatsoever. A smile tugged at his lips and, without her volition, she mirrored his expression.
"Oh- Um- Red...! Good morning!" Yellow called, not exactly sure of how to great him. It hadn't been to terribly long since they'd last encountered - not long enough to say something along the lines of "long time, no see" - but long enough that she missed him. Instead, she continued, "U-uh... How... are you...?"
