Had that hiker actually just thrown his pokeball – a pokemon inside no doubt – into the waterbed?! The flame of rage that almost constantly seemed to be burning in Hugh’s heart flared hugely, red-hot, angry blood radiating through his body as he leapt from the rocks he’d been poking around and climbing on. He landed with a clatter on the stone ground below. He didn’t care that this was practically a sacred area, the Spear Pillar he’d finally made it to. All he cared about was the pokemon that had just been abandoned (no worse) by its trainer with a splash and sank beneath the surface...and the bastard of a trainer it had. ”Hey!” Hugh shouted, getting the Hiker’s attention very quickly. The man turned around just in time for Hugh to barrel into him, the momentum of the moving teenager forcing him back against the wall he’d been walking along with a loud thud. Hugh pressed the back of his arm against the man’s throat, thankful for his recent growth spurt to bring him almost entirely eye-level with the terrible man who now stared at him in utter shock and confusion. ”What the hell was that all about?!” Hugh roared, basically in the mans face as he gestured to the water. ”Did you actually just throw your pokemon in the water to die?!” There was no response from the man for about fifteen seconds before silently a low, raspy laugh came from his chest. ”You wouldn’t understand, kid.” Hugh’s fist collided with the front of the man’s face, a fresh spurt of blood gushing from his nose as it broke with a crunch. ”The hell I would!” The teen shouted back, his already spiky hair appearing to bristle even more with his anger. ”I don’t have time for trash like you.” He gave the man a final shove with the arm against his throat before turning and running from him, skidding to a halt at the edge of the water as he scanned the surface rapidly for any trace of where the pokeball may have vanished. Damn it... He took off his own pack from around his waist and tossed it to the side before diving into the water without a second thought, propelling himself downward as fast as possible. Finally he saw something, a glint of red and swam towards it. It was on the bottom of the waterbed, and he picked it up to examine the pokemon within. A Metagross. What had posessed the trainer to get rid of something like this? The pokemon’s usually stoic eyes showed traces of fear and relief when it saw Hugh, and the teen momentarily forgot he was floating deep underwater while he stared back. The sudden realization that he was oxygen-deprived pulled him rather rapidly to reality. Crap! He started swimming upward in an uncoordinated manner, having floated too high above the ground to kick off. C’mon... He let a puff of air escape his mouth, bubbling upward before he clamped his jaws shut. He had to hurry – get the pokemon and himself to the surface before he ran out of air. | [atrb=style,width:115px; horizontal-align: center; vertical-align: bottom; padding: 0 3 0 0; border-left: 3px solid;] IT WAS YOUR FRIEND notes sorry it took a while, hope this is good though <3 // writing style for hugh change go[/classy] code@lurker | hint, hover. |
