The whole region was destroyed. Feet crushed on the ground as she pushed through the debris of one of her hotels. She had called Fernando once more. The man might be somewhat of an annoyance but he might stand between her family and certain ruin. Which was all she was seeing now. Fifteen percent was a lot, however, and she wanted to negotiate. Or at least realise exactly what it was he might want out of her. She swore she could sense his presence, but nothing was guaranteed. "Is that you, Mr. Silph?"
Platinum had never called him before, not like this. The urgency behind her voice was shrouded only be her naivety. Her ignorance was getting to her. She was desperate. He knew that and he fully well intended to exploit it. For him to find his footing amongst the rubble would be an easy task. Almost as easy as twisting his slender, cunning fingers around her waist. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be as easy for her to find an escape route.
“The one and only, Berlitz.”
Fernando had picked up a few things from Q and one of those was being able to tread silently, invisible until you wanted to be detected. From behind the Berlitz, Fernando stood over her, towering over the smaller girl.
“Remember when I said you didn’t have much of a choice? Your time is ticking Berlitz and my offer is no longer infinite. Things have changed, the deadline is tomorrow.”

Her lips curled downwards in a frown and she turned around to look directly at Fernando, her hands clutching at the hem of her skirt for a few moments. "I am not entirely surprised that you have brought forward your deadline, Fernando. It is part of the reason I have asked you here today." She blinked a few times as her hands flattened her skirt. She didn't know what to say when it came to this sort of thing. It wasn't like she wanted to marry him. In fact, she wanted the opposite. "I will give my answer if you are open about what you expect of me in this partnership."
“Before you even start,” Fernando interrupted, “This has nothing to do with me and you. Something unexpected had turned up and soured my move. I fully well intended to give you more time but unfortunately for you, someone spoiled my good mood..”
His predicament with Anna still bothered him. More than he’d like to admit and enough to spill over and cut off whatever leverage Platinum may have had. In fact, his generosity was about to end entirely.
“Fifteen percent is a small price to pay to ensure the livelihood of the Berlitz name. I can promise you that it’ll be worth more than a hundred percent of this,” he didn’t’ even have to gesture and the destruction that surrounded them. “And even now, I wonder if it’s even worth it on my part. I don’t see anyone of my caliber in line, offering you a hand as a promising suitor. My needs and wants will change with time but we can negotiate on that as a couple. I will take what I want, with or without you, Berlitz. This is no longer an offer. Either you offer yourself as a treaty or I take you down when I wage war on the economy. Silph Co. is at its peak and we‘re going to take over what we can before the mandibuzz come.”

Platinum nodded back in response to him. "I am glad I am not the cause of your bad mood, though I must admit it still makes things a little disconcerting for me knowing that I must decide now in order to save my family." She disliked that her bargaining chip had since been counted unnecessary, and her hands balled into fists as she listened to him speak.
Really, he made good points. "I merely want to know what you mean when you say you expect things of me. I know for certain my parents would be pleased with this match financially and it would be wrong of me to do anything except accept your proposal, I just would like to know what I should expect. I do not want to enter into an abusive relationship if you intend on physically harming me. Even for money I would not accept this in our partnership. I understand that I am to present myself to you as a wife and to appear next to you to the public, but tell me if there is more that you expect of me."
“Tough shit. The world won’t stop turning for anyone and I cannot wait forever, Berlitz.”
Fernando laughed at her concerns, amused that she thought the worst of him. “Expectations change but if you’re scared of me, that’s fine too. Prove it and you might find grounds for a divorce. I won’t beat you, if that’s what you’re scared of. However, I’m not one for being gentle. If you want a heir, you’ll have to endure the legacy behind it.”
“I’m not a picky man, Berlitz. Think with your head and use half decent judgement and I shall be satisfied.”

She frowned a little. "There is no need to curse," She added in a curt tone, learned from her mother in her early years. Her hands reached up to perch on her hips and she furrowed her brows, "I was merely stating my opinion. I will not be the silent type." She shrugged her shoulders once, before looking him over.
"If I am to take on the role of bearing an heir, then I understand the necessity in the consummation of the marriage. And for my family it would be a requirement. You do not have to feel as if I would fear you from that." Platinum shook her head and breathed out, "If that is what you wish of me, that I use common sense, then I can certainly manage that. I will accept your proposal."
Grumbling was already a sign that they were making headway in combining he two families. Luckily, the marriage would be only for title, a namesake and nothing more. At least he could look forward to cheating and abusing her in ways she wouldn’t had thought of. Catching the naïve by surprise had always been one of his various pleasures.
“Forget consummation. You’re not ready-- not yet. You’re still a child and I won’t be the one blamed for leaving you broken and tarnished. You’re out of your field, Berlitz.”
Fernando could only give her a quizzical stare at the mention of the topic. Even though he had gone over her profile, he still couldn’t believe that the girl before him was anywhere close to legal.
“About that, with your desperation and growing instability, it’s no longer my proposal. You’re to propose to me, if only for the satisfaction of hearing it come from those sweet lips of yours.”
Post by PLATINUM BERLITZ-SILPH on Dec 8, 2012 16:51:18 GMT 9.5
"I was not offering you the consummation at this moment, but in order to conceive an heir I am aware of the process. I am not a child, despite your opinions of me. My mother was already attempting to fall pregnant at my age, so I am not shy about the fact. It is part of marriage in families such as ours." Platinum folded her hands together, wringling her fingers softly around one another. Though she was outwardly confident with her abilities to carry a child, she had very little actual confidence. She was terrified - this was not the man she had imagined her life with, nor was it the man she had wanted to - consummate was probably still the best word - her adulthood with.
"I am not unstable, but I will ask you if that is your wish." Stepping through the ruin's of one of her father's hotels, she turned to face Fernando directly. "Fernando Silph, please marry me. Please allow me to become your wife in order to save and protect my family."
“I’m not a marriage major but isn’t it suppose to happen after the honeymoon? And the honeymoon follows the ceremony if my memory serves me right. But hey, what do I know? I‘m only the second most powerful man in all of Kanto and Johto.”
Fernando can’t help but sneer towards the end of his statement. Pokeballs are essential to everyday life, meaning that he’ll always be all powerful with his position as their esteemed creator. Today is a good day to be a Silph.
“Your mother only had to handle a Berlitz. Don’t mistake me for someone so tame and kind as your father. It’ll be the best while being far worse than anything you could’ve imagined. I promise.”
You’d have to find the most talented Smeagle to try and wipe the sick, twisted grin off Fernando’s face. Hearing her plead, no matter how dignified, for his hand in marriage was something he’d probably never hear again. “Well, if you insist~”
The taunting was just the beginning of it all. Platinum had no idea what she was getting into.

Platinum gave a small frown at him, tempted to pinch him on the arm the way her mother had her father every time he had said something sarcastic. She had instead looked down and shook her head, "You are not incorrect, that is the correct order for happenings, I am in no hurry. You merely stated that I was a child and I was suggesting that though I do not insist on sleeping with you at this moment, I am not unaware of the necessities at some point. It is a part of marriage that makes it a binding contract in accordance to tradition." Another frown, "I know who you are, and I know that you are hardly my father. You are a very different man and I do not doubt that for a moment. You need not be concerned with my making misguided judgement of you."
Reaching up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, she ignored the sneer and merely waited for a few moments. The sing-song response make her cringe, and she let out a long breath, "Thank you for your acceptance. I.. would request that it be sooner rather than later, for the fact that it will cause the least amount of damage to our company." She disliked begging. In any way. She did not want to plead with him. But now, well, now there was very little choice.
“I’m never incorrect,” he interjected, quick to assert the important fact. “And you’re no more than a girl to me, Platinum. You play by the rules and do what your parents tell you. Don’t let them dictate and mold your life. If you let them live your life for you, I’ll do the same.”
There was a pause as Fernando realized just what he had said.
“Also, fuck tradition.”
Grumbling, his polished shoe would find asphalt as he punted a chunk of loose concrete. “So be it. We’re done here? As much as I enjoy the site of your crumbling empire, it’s not too pleasant on the eyes, wifey.”

Though she was in no hurry to be deflowered by the somewhat aggressive man, Platinum did not appreciate being called a child. She had been through her childish phases, she had matured and worked hard in order to maintain a regal and ladylike nature. "Perhaps I appear childlike to you, and perhaps you believe that I am under the thumb of my parents, but I have chosen to marry you of my own accord. I wish to allow my parents to continue with their future, and I wish for myself the same blessing. It is perhaps selfish, but I am just as accustomed to the lifestyle as they, and it would be inconvenient for us to lose all we have." She shrugged her shoulders. Platinum may be a child in his eyes, but she also had a sharp tongue and a tendency to speak her mind when people insulted her.
"Language please," She reiterated, before nodding. "My business here is completed. I hope to rebuild this hotel first. It is the oldest in our ruined legacy, and thus deserves respect." She frowned a little, turning towards him. "Wifey? If we are to be informal, perhaps Platinum would be more appropriate, I do not believe that 'wifey' is quite the correct term. And I hope you will come to enjoy the sight of us rebuilding, rather than the collapse, if you are to be my-" Platinum took a moment, a somewhat darker smirk dancing on her lips, "Hubby."
“Appear? You are.” Fernando wouldn’t even let her get the whole statement off before he disregarded her words completely. All the protest in the world wouldn’t make him reverse his judgment. Platinum was a girl and unfit to handle the girth of his sadism. Like most fine wine, breaking her would come with age.
The rest of her words fell upon his deaf ears, refusing to waste his time on the stubborn rubbish spewing from her ignorant lips. She had been naïve to trust him, foolish to accept. Like Anna, Platinum would be enlightened as to how the world really worked. Fernando would train her, break her, leave her bare for the world to see. And then from there he would make his move.
“Don’t get too comfortable with that,” he warned, catching her last word. “Hubby doesn’t play very nice.”
Whirling blades of death overshadow whatever nonsense the newly bound couple bicker about. The copter is here and ready to whisk them away to the routine of their everyday lives.
