With the event/dinner thing going on that Lucy had been sent here to do, Lilith had trailed along. Unfortunately, that was a part of working for an organisation and not being one of the top of the command chain. You had to do things you didn't always want to do, and sometimes it meant waiting around and doing nothing. Doing nothing was boring though, and after she'd taken down a few wild pokemon types just outside Goldenrod City with Bubbles, she'd ended up wandering into the city. It would have been easy to get lost, but whatever faults the Vaporeon travelling beside her had, a bad sense of direction wasn't one of them. The houses towered above them, walling them in the more she walked, kicking her shoes in the dirt left on the ground from people and pokemon walking over them day in and day out.
"Come on, Bubbles. Let's find someone to scare. Oooh we could get some lunch, c'mon." For a moment, she could have sworn she saw a disapproving look on the pokemon's face, but she barely waited a moment before pulling her bag higher on her shoulders and darting off after a little boy exploring the shops.
It was a really short conversation, and not really as interesting as Lilith had been hoping for. Before Bubbles had even bared her teeth, she was holding a brown paper bag, and sniffing it cautiously. If he'd been so eager to get rid of it, maybe there was something wrong with it. It didn't smell too bad, actually it smelt rather like meat, something she hadn't had in... forever. It was much too expensive. Rather than looking around, she simply plopped herself down where she'd been standing, tugging the sandwich out of the bag and sniffing again.
"Smells alright, and it's not growing any of the green stuff. Want some?" She didn't wait for an answer, breaking apart the bread and offering it to Bubbles. Daintily, she took it, chewing slowly even as Lilith bit into her part of the food. Maybe later she could go find Lucy and find something to do, or Clara. Though Clara didn't seem to like doing things for the knights, but maybe if she batted her eyes just right at one of them, she could get a new dress or shoes, hers were looking a little worn again.
