///I am not all of what you make of me\\\
Somehow Lucia didn't mind all that much that she was almost two and a half days late on arriving at Goldenrod at long last. The trip through the forest and the route that followed had been interesting to say the least, and the information she had gathered in the mean while invaluable. Who had ever thought she'd have met a dex holder of all people on this trip to Johto? Sighing the coordinator rubbed the back of her neck where Anna had been curled up before she had made her go back to her pokeball. The little eevee was getting spoiled to say the least, but she hardly minded right now. It was nice to be able to dote on something while she tried to ignore the thoughts that had been swirling in her mind since her leave from Kalos.
As she walked to the desk of the hotel though and was greeted by the woman who was making sure that everyone was signed in, Luce decidedly put on a tired and somewhat bored face. It wasn't too far from her general feelings anyway, and if anything she just was too exhausted to really do anything else at the moment. It would have to do. Exchanging a quick bit of information, mostly faked under that coordinator persona she had been living in for two years now, Luce nodded as the woman gave her the key to her room and gave her a paper with a list of times and places that the event would be taking place in over the next few days.
The whole thing had been quite extraordinarily useful really. A set of events and a dinner in order to help raise money for the relief effort in Johto? Oh, it was just too perfect. The Knights had been able to put in money through some people who were being expected of profiting from the destruction to show a more "sympathetic" side, Luce was able to use her grunts to spy and manipulate as always, and others were able to coax out deals all the while they were able to draw attention away from their real plots. In short it had been brilliant, and so far it was going off without a hitch.
The real fun though wouldn't start until the afternoon tomorrow at the first of the events, a sort of showing of talents using the proceeds of seats and entry fees as part of the fundraised money. Some were battling, others performing; but it was all panem et circensus. Bread and circuses, a way for the Knights to please the masses with entertainment and food. Shrugging her bag onto her shoulder again Luce walked out of the elevator and went to the room she had been assigned, turning the key into the lock and opening the door. It wasn't until her eyes leveled again after putting her bag down near the door that she realized she wasn't alone, and a mixture of feeling crossed over her face as she tilted her head curiously.
"Damion, I thought you'd be staying in Kalos. I wasn't aware they had brought you as well."
Because it couldn't be that he was here for other reasons, right? Like him practically claiming me only a little less than a week ago...right, totally couldn't be here because of that...oh what the hell did I get myself into.

There were a few things in the world that meant as much to Damion as the partners he'd chosen in life. There were even fewer things that had the elusive title of his. A part of him missed the spot on his belt where Famine - now named Rain - had rested on his belt, but in time he'd find another little hellion to replace her. For now, in the now, he had Lucy. When they'd first begun their relationship, it had been nothing more than physical. Slowly, slowly but surely it had descended further into something that was almost genuine care... and Damion Racher didn't do caring. When they'd given the order for him to find something to do for the Knights, he'd been more than happy to oblige, leaving behind the young woman that so captured him and moving on. Only, it hadn't quite worked that way.
Instead of moving on, he'd been even more obsessed, even more drawn and every day afterwards made it so much worse. He thought about her. Thought about a woman. It wasn't like it had never happened before, but it wasn't like women usually had the ability to get his attention in such a way. So when he'd returned and all but demanded she be his, it was of no small annoyance that she'd vanished soon after. How rude of her, to do such things when she had no reason to. So he'd followed. It wasn't hard to flirt his way into the information, and then up into her room.
Nor did it take him long to relax into a shower while Scar sat and groomed herself on the bed provided there. Whatever he said about coordinators, it couldn't be said that they didn't have comfort, and after standing for nearly an hour under an almost painfully hot water, letting it pound against his flesh incessantly. There was something about the hot water, something cleansing about it, at the end, he didn't feel like the monster he knew himself to be completely. Everything he did, he took his time about. The slow scrape of the razor over his skin, the brush of his pants as they buckled, the sweeping of his hair off his forehead, the difference in temperature between one room and the other. It wasn't until Lucy's voice broke across his thoughts that he turned and the slow smile began. "They didn't, I came because you're here. And you're mine. Simple as that."

///I am not all of what you make of me\\\
Shit, he is here for me. Well I'm screwed...
Inside she was a ball of emotions; elation, worry, amusement, sarcasm, frustration. Outside however Luce kept that careful mediated mask that she was so used to wearing when she didn't know what else to do, and almost cold in her expression she moved to place her things on the chair near a small desk in the corner. Careful to not put herself in the corner too, and instead pacing slowly here and there keeping herself between where Damion and the door was. On the one hand she was furious that he just followed her here, and on the other she was relieved. She settled for something in between them as she finally warmed slightly, turning a blue gaze on him and then the furret preening on her bed, though she supposed it would be their bed now if the other Knight had any say in the matter.
"I did say that I needed time to wrap my head around everything Dami." With a small sigh she finally settled down from the jumpy tension that had filled her shortly after seeing that he was here in her room. She didn't even have to ask to know how he had figured out where she had gone. Damion always had his ways. Hiding was never an option, not of course, that she had been trying to hide. Lucia honestly had needed time to wrap her head around this new stage in her life, and it had conveniently come before she had a trip to go on. Taking a breath and leaning against the wall, she watched him, letting her gaze sweep over the wet hair and still damp body.
"I don't think I need to ask if you've made yourself comfortable." Her tone was somewhat terse, but she knew that he knew her well enough by now to know that she was only biding time while she tried to struggle to pull her thoughts together. It was difficult to figure out just what sort of response she wanted to go with, and finally after a moment she pushed off of the wall to walk toward him. There was only a small moment of hesitation before she went to wrap her arms around his waist and nuzzle in against him. It wasn't quite comfortable yet, but it was getting there slowly, and if she actually were to allow herself to feel it, there was something soothing about knowing he would be there to have her back as he had in the past.
For a moment she just stayed calmly like that, and then flicking her eyes up to his and backing away slightly she veiled over that vulnerability once more. "I didn't just leave...in case you thought that. I assumed you already knew that I would be attending the events here. That's why I didn't think I had to clarify by when I said I needed time, I meant during this trip. It's only supposed to be for a week anyway, but even so, I can't say I'm not glad that you're here." Finally she allowed herself to smile a bit, moving again to lean toward him for a brief touch before wavering away again. It was fleeting, but it was there, and just like that she closed up once again not sure how much she should allow herself to rely on the older man.

Yes, she'd said she'd need time to wrap her head around everything he'd told her, but the catch was this - time was not something Damion was willing to give. That wasn't to say he wasn't a patient man, only a fool would believe that he couldn't sit and wait for years to see if a plan worked but when it came to Lucy Blake, all the rules he'd adjusted for himself just... went out the window. It was something he couldn't understand, it was something he didn't want to understand and it was something that he knew if he thought on, he would wish he'd stayed in Hoenn. "You did." He responded easily, leaning in the doorway to watch her pace around the room. He'd also be lying to himself if he wasn't immensely pleased by the fact he was making her incredibly uneasy. There was just something about making people genuinely uncomfortable that soothed the beast in his head. "And then you left the region. Forgive me, but I have a history with people leaving me and I have a slight paranoia reaction to it."
That was a lie. There were very few things that Damion feared. One of those being the emotions he was feeling looking over at Luce and her expressions. It was the feeling of possession - that wasn't unusual. It was the feeling of protectiveness - that was. Everything that she sprung to life in him that he was almost certain didn't exist anymore, and there she was, calmly berating him for following her. Too bad, she was his. No longer a game or a toy to be used until she was broken and/or bloody, but something that encompassed the very definition of his. He treated his things well, didn't he? Well... most of them. "No. Travel was hard, and dirty and I have a distaste for dirt for the most part. I didn't think you'd mind, although I admit I was hoping you'd come back in time to join me in said shower." There was no denying the silky nature of Damion's voice. Every word was picked carefully, plucked from a vocabulary designed to manipulate and consume people. Every cadence of his tone was perfectly designed. Really, as much as he cared for the young woman, it was still all just another game.
It wasn't until her arms came around him that Damion realised how tense he'd been. In a moment, he'd relaxed again, arms snaking around her to hold her against his body even when she might have moved away. "Like I said, people have a habit of running from me. I wanted to make sure that you weren't one of them. And I didn't want to give you the chance to change your mind." She did want honesty from him, after all, and that was what she was getting. Even with the serious talks though, he couldn't help but bend to slide his lips along her cheek in an affectionate gesture. He really had missed her.
