PERSONALITY

HISTORY Born thirty-three years ago in Rustboro City, Hoenn on April 10th, Steven Stone was the single heir to Devon Corporation as soon as he was out of the womb. His mother, unfortunately, died in childbirth and it was up to the President of the company to raise his son, the only living reminder of his late wife. In order to keep his wife's wishes, he named the boy Daigo Tsuwabuki. However, this later came to be replaced by 'Steven Stone', which the boy requested others called him since they never seemed to be able to pronounce his real name correctly. Whenever he got the chance, Steven's father loved the boy to death, doing as much as he could to be a part of his son's life. Although he was often extremely busy with Devon to spend entire days with him, he made as much time as possible. Every once in a while, they would be able to take trips together to different parts of the pokemon world and explore caves, looking for meteorites and stones to collect. It was on one of these trips that a young Steven found himself alone in a Camerupt stampede while his father was alone. Unfortunately, though, he was unable to always be by his son's side to watch him grow up. A nanny, not that much older than Steven, was integrated as the closest thing to a mother figure in Steven's life. She taught him how to cook and dress himself properly and how it was expected for the young heir of a massive corporation to. Until he was sixteen, Steven was privately tutored for his basic education, and attended Pokemon Trainer's school. From the age thirteen and on, his schooling began focusing more on aspects of business and finance than he would have gotten in the public school. With the education he received, he was being groomed to become the President of Devon one day, as it was expected of him. However, instead of beginning to work for the Corporation immediately as expected, Steven had other ideas. In his spare time as a child, he had taken to collecting and training Steel-type pokemon, starting with the Beldum his father gifted him for his tenth birthday. He wanted to go off on his own and pave his way in the world on an alternate route from jumping right into the business heir realm of things. Although his father didn't entirely like this decision, he supported his son's choice nonetheless. From sixteen until he was twenty-six, he trained his pokemon and fought ferociously in battles. He hated losing, and each time he did he doubled his training efforts to make sure he would not lose again. Over the course of those ten years he traveled the Hoenn region extensively, collecting the eight Gym Badges required to take on the Elite Four. Although he spent plenty of time exploring cave systems of the regions, and other 'mysterious' places of the region. With Metagross as the cornerstone of his team, he challenged Hoenn's Elite Four with confidence that few matched. He dominated the challenge, proving that his ceaseless training paid off. He was deemed a Master of Steel-type pokemon and became the runner-up Champion of the Hoenn Region, taking the duty while Wallace took some leave. For some time before everything happened, Steven and his father both were well aware of the threats posed by Teams Aqua and Magma. The President of Devon Corp. built the Submarine Explorer 1 with his son so Steven could seal Kyogre and Groudon to prevent them from being awakened. It was at this point Steven made his own backup plan to unseal the Regis if the original plan were to fail. During the construction of the submarine, Steven met Ruby while looking through Granite Cave. He helped out Ruby when he found himself in a horde of Mawile. Ruby's Skitty bumped into one of the Moon Stones Steven had in the area, and she evolved into a Delcatty. After working together with the boy briefly, he invited Ruby to join forces with him to stop Team Magma and Aqua, but the younger trainer declined and they went their separate ways. Through watching Ruby during their teamwork, he guessed that Ruby knew far more about pokemon battling than he acted. During the fight breaking out between the entire Hoenn Region against Magma against Aqua, Steven took his cape as Champion and summoned the rest of the Elite Four to help save Hoenn. Courtesy of Sapphire with her Wailord and Relicanth, the Regis were unsealed and The Elite Four split across the region to take control of the three Regis to help them fight. Steven had two Elite Four take control of Regice and Regirock each, and he himself took control of Registeel. Arriving at the battle, he returned the Champion's cape to Wallace, using a light spin on the gravity of the situation to get his friend to take the cape and resume his rightful place as Champion. Steven took this step because he knew he would die in the battle. He died almost literally in Wallace's grip from the strain of controlling Registeel alone. His death influenced Wallace to accept the Champions cloak once again and challenge Maxie and Archie. He was revived with the others that had died in the battle when Ruby released his Celebi and altered time. Almost immediately after these events, despite his fathers' pleas Steven continued to work with pokemon and journey across the world. In one of his trips to Sinnoh at twenty-eight, he purchased a Villa and sold it to Platinum Berlitz before returning to Hoenn. He later invested once more in a beach-house in the Resort Area. He currently has a villa (given to him from his father) in Undella Town of Unova. His house is in Mossdeep City, Hoenn. For business, he has apartments in Rustboro (Hoenn) and Saffron (Kanto). He's looking to buy apartments in Celadon and Pewter City in Kanto as well. The apartments in Rustboro and Saffron are all Devon-sponsored. Celadon and Pewter's would be self-owned. He managed to sell his apartment in Goldenrod shortly before it was destroyed. With the increasingly 'crazy' events going on in the world as the Knights of Arceus are coming to greater power, his own personal life has become more hectic. In light of troubling events for the Berlitz family, Platinum's father and Steven's own have forced the two into an engagement (in spite of their drastic age difference) and wish for them to be married, and present an heir in the name of saving the Berlitz family. It's very complicated, and between this and the troubles going on in the world, Steven has begun smoking roughly twice per day. | ||||||||
